Yep they are right the resonator needs cutting out at one end, the other end uses a clamp, the res delete kit comes ith one additional clamp so putting the new pipe in uses the old clamp on one and and then the new clamp on the piece of cut pipe (I believe!) Still £90 is their price I wouldn't...

Where are you based? I picked up a ZAUSTWORKX res delete (they sell on FB marketplace) for around £70, and a friendly garage have said they will fit it for £60 for me. Am yet to take it there as COVID hit the week it arrived!

Took advantage of the break in the rain yesterday to give it it's first proper clean since I have owned it... Took it to work today for the first drive nice and fresh... The chip in the windscreen (Booked for repair tomorrow) turned into a rather nasty crack. Doh!

Tried to EaziWrap the gloss black insert on the DSG knob in Copper... Melted the insert to the point it doesnt fit back onto the selector... Replacement from China ETA 40 days. Great.

Seems to be my word against theirs and I dont really hold any of the cards aside from the cash! I got in touch with the dealer who sold me the car (Not a SEAT dealer) and it looks like they are going to sort it for me which would be brill.

Just here to say, used your guide to physically disable the Soundaktor and am very pleased with the result... Although it has convinced me even more to pull the trigger on a res delete!

Found them - Looks like the part in question is 5G0857552CC3H8 (VW version) 5F0857552CCGQ6 (SEAT version) £100 to replace..... Might just try and glue it all back together and hope for the best

That front splitter is nuts! Have you looked into Spoiler caps? Maxton do a very simple one... But have been looking for alternatives. How much did you get charged for the Cobra res delete?

Yeah for me the phone volume is on max. One thing I read is that Google do this deliberately as they want to ensure that it can hear you say "Ok Google" for voice commands. Not many ways around it that I have read!

Mm the garage I am talking to have the replacement pipe as a unit to swap in, I haven't got the details from him yet as to who provided the pipe and whether itll be welded or using clamps. I am hoping to keep the box also purely for peace of mind.
