Hey chaps,
Had my first service yesterday and asked them to look at this for me while it was in (along with 4 new tyres) and they did the update for me without issue.
Still early days but initial impression are it’s 95% fixed and only when I really try to invoke it do I notice a slight...
Is the wing mirror still trying to work i.e. you can hear the motor or see a tiny movement but it’s like it’s stuck....if you, gently, pull it out as it is trying to open does it work?
I had a similar experience on a previous car and the dealer wanted to replace the whole thing at a...
Yes sorry I should clarify...I still have the auto city braking on...it is the park assist braking I have turned off on mine so at incredibly slow speeds when the park assist is active...I believe (although not had to test it yet) that the auto brake is still active as it did beep, and a warning...
I agree with the auto braking...had to turn that off due to angle of my drive and it anchoring up everytime I pulled off!
Can’t say I’ve had a problem with wipers on mine?
Couldn’t be doing without the auto lights these days and I see your concern over the HID’s but over 2 cars and 9 years (HID equipped cars) I’ve never had to replace a HID bulb and they ran permenantly on with my SAAB and auto on the Vauxhall.
Haha yeah can imagine the shock of everything going...
No button on mine either but it auto dims...there is a sensor in the windscreen so not sure if this is the sensor or a combined rain and brightness sensor as it doesn’t dim like my old Insignia did which only dimmed when lights came through the back window onto the face of the mirror...the Leon...
Mine doesn’t look like that...appears to be built into the windscreen on mine but might have changed it...light switch definitely says auto although my windscreen wipers don’t but they are auto.
Personally I think you’d regret not having them (that’s just my personal opinion of course...some people really aren’t bothered but I am). It seems it’s possible to retrofit if you’re struggling to get the right spec at the right time/price though so if the right car comes up without the...
Just passenger side I think...I’ve not seen any options for the driver side as well...not really sure it’s necessary but I can see why you might want it from time to time.
No idea...I was genuinely joking as I imagine it’s a long time before anything detrimental changed in the chemistry of the fuel...I’ve seen shows where they find old vehicles and mention about water getting in etc. but after years and years stood still...I’m not fuel specialist though so not got...
Not exactly on the Leon but generally they are in the footwell at at or near the top of the clutch pedal...you’ll have to get right down in the footwell and follow the pedal right up and you should be able to feel it if it’s still attached or flapping around if it’s loose
Sad days...sorry to hear of the issues you’ve had...don’t blame you with a learner to be honest...not sure I’d trust myself with a Cupra the 1.5 has definitely made me focus more on economy than performance.
I should have put a disclaimer really...my bad
Was assuming the petrol head based masses of the Cupra forum would know but granted the casual visitor might have taken it seriously.
