I had this problem too on my second-hand 150 with 50k miles. A Pedal Box (such as the DTUK one) makes a massive difference. It's far easier to balance the throttle with the clutch

Hmmm... that does sound odd! Have you had a chance to get the fault codes read? You'd hope that something that pronounced would come up with a helpful code

As far as I understand, ECO mode works by reducing throttle response so it is normal for the car to feel slow in ECO mode. If it is slow to respond in all modes, then there are things you can do. You can buy a pedalbox such at the DTUK one which will speed up the response, or you can investigate...
