I would go with dynamat extreme everytime. Its expensive but its one of the bets on the market.
I owuld start with the front door skins, then look at the tailgate, boot floor pan, and side panels of the boot.
Then depending on how mad you want to go, the roof :D
You might as well just buy some cheap ones if you looking for straigh replacements, if you buy decne tones make sure you sound deaden around them to get the best out of them!
Hi
Wondering if someone could help. I have a standard cupra apart from stage one revo, when chnaging gear between say 4000-5000rpm i get a wooosh style noise like an atmospheric DV. Is this normal or do you think the standard DV is kancked and losing pressure?!
Thought it was the spare wheel - Nope
Jack - Nope
Boot mechanicism - Nope
Tailgate panel trim - Nope
Its coming from under the boot floor where the exhaust sits  Is there a heat shield under there? or could it just be the exhaust knocking against the under side of the boot floor?!
I used to run infinity components, they had a tendancy for blowing quite easily. With regards to the tweeter it will depend on its size whether it fits behind the wing mirror bit.
With the question about amping the fronts its just like amping any other speaker. When running two amps you can...
I have Revo and love it, would recommend it to anyone. Get the free trial and i can guarentee you will love evry minute and go back for the full version.
I think people have to remember there are lots of factors that will alter the sound. Installation for example, position of the mid base and tweeters would make a huge difference from one set to another. Also if they are amped, if they are running active etc
Lots of variables to consider ;)
You have £400 just to spend on front speakers?
I would buy some Alpine SPX components, run them off a amp and buy some sound deadening for the doors :)
To be honest for under £50 there wont be much difference in Sound Quality. So i would just go wioth them :)
Sound deadening your dors would make a world of difference though!
As steve says above really really does depend on how much you want to spend!
A good start would be a new head unit (needs to be custom fitted) some new components and sound deaden the doors!
If your not to keen on custom fitting a new HU then just some Speaker wire to RCA convertors to...
I ahve them on mine but there still in silver. Was tempted ot get them done anthracite but now i might be seen as copying :( :p
Can you get a side on bigger picture so i can chop them onto my car? :D
