I left my car parked up over the weekend and it was fine when I left it. When I tried to go to work on Tuesday morning nothing worked on the instrument panel and when I turn the key the engine fires up, turns over, revs for about 1/2 a second and then dies.
I don't have access to VAG-COM...
Goto a hosting website (photobucket seems to be the one mostly used). Upload your pics then copy the IMG tags into your post. The IMG thing will make sense when you see your pics on photobucket!
Well I know for a fact that the LHD accelerator fits, but it's different to the Brake and Clutch which replace the current pedals because it just sits on top! Someone will clear this up soon no doubt.
I'm sure I can arrange to get out of work for a bit on Friday to do it. Do you know your way around Gateshead?
I got mine from VAG Parts but they're closed now. I would try the TT Shop first, they might be able to sort some out, expect to pay around £7/pedal.
No pictures of the CUPRA, I've...
I assume this one is for me?
Sorry to hijack the threat but this will be useful for you too! I loved the CC, and my mate got his 130 Bora CC'd as soon as he'd been in mine. I just wish I had the money to do the Leon.
It would have to be a weekday because me and my lass have just got a house and we're there decorating through the weekends so we can move in quicker.
If I knew it would have been going to someone who would appreciate them I'd have left the spacers and pedals on.
Yeah I'm glad someone is going...
Nah google VAG-COM, it's a diagnostics tool similar to what a dealer uses but you can change certain settings (I'm sure a dealers diagnostic machine could do it but I dunno if it would be the same process).
The map definitely works and if you're totally stuck for someone to do it and you don't...
Well today is your lucky day, I'm about to give you a free remap. That is my old car I traded it in for a Mk2 Leon Cupra in January.
Custom Code Phase 1 is already on just find someone kind with VAG-COM to switch it on for you, I put it back to standard before I traded it in.
If you don't...
Love that, did you get the wheels refurbished or buy them new? I think yellow is the best colour to pull off the black grille and wheels.
How much was the grille?
I've just swapped from the Mk4 FR TDi to the Leon Cupra and it feels a LOT quicker. You should probably have a test drive in the Cupra. From what I've read the FR isn't as comfortable as the Cupra either and they're almost the same price if you're going for a used one.
Well I went back to the dealer today and they carried out the mobile repair. To be fair the job isn't bad but the lad who was doing the work said there was no chance of getting the kerb marks out because they were too deep and if they put filler in this will just crack off the next time you...
I've been e-mailing the same seller because he was positive they were a perfect fit. Glad to see it's not just me who can't fit a couple of bits of chrome in the dials
