I found that if you remove the wiper arm and replace it on the next spindle up then the wiper will sit slighly further up the window but the gap will be far less if there at all

Lee its not the alarm chirp mate, I don't have that. Its just the alarm sound, its as though it goes off but, indicators continually flash but no alarm:confused:.
