Safe reliable 400bhp you really need a gt30 but that spools nothing like any IHI turbo. Better off going for high 300s and get a gt2871 as it will spool better.

Any mk3 ibiza ecu will work. Get somebody local with vag com to code it for you. It will take 5 mins max. Any mapper thats worth going to can overwrite anybody elses map so no problems there if your mapper is decent.

Nope thats not strictly true but Phils is an Ibiza ecu anyway which would 100% be fine. Coding it is very easy aslong as you have vag com. Phil knows how to do it and can tell you.

By a second hand ecu (ie Phils) and then get your map loaded up onto it again. Could drive to the mappers with the n75 unplugged which should stop any major problems. Coding the ecu is easy if you have vag com. You dont need any special code or anything. Im sure PhilW would explain it all to you...

Changing some sensor wire lengths can cause it to read wrong or the ecu to see a fault but dont know if this is the case with lambdas. As Alex as he must have come up against this as its a BD kit. Will a LCR one be any longer and if it is will it show the right reading?

Generally this means a vac leak somewhere iirc. Although it could be fuelling related if something has been changed or you have been mapped recently.

Was spec on european ones so your might be an import.

21psi is fine for a stage1 map. To the OP your boost is way low. Your sure its a Jabba map. Something is not right somewhere.

Turboing the 1.4 will be a silly exercise tbh and putting a 1.8t in an ibiza comes under the banner of dont build what you can buy so thats just as silly an idea.

Changing the map sensor for a higher reading one without changing the settings within the map will make it confused and not run right as it will think its running a different amount of boost. Had this when I went IHI as I had a 3 bar map sensor and changed it back to standard 2.5 bar one.
