Hello twincharged owners. My name is Mark.....aka Lucifer and I have spent the last 4 years in ownership of a 1.4tsi Seat Ibiza. I have now at long last managed to conquer stage 3 tuning on this engine after several setbacks and much more money spent than I ever wanted. I still honestly believe...
Ok, I'm back again after a rather mixed year of injury through to success (see another thread those who want to know)
I have managed to create the first successful stage 3 1.4tsi in the UK, arguably the fastest road legal one in the World. It is well over 300bhp at the moment and the final dyno...
Well in pushing 320bhp so I'm a little different, read my guide and you won't go far wrong. If your engine is a cthe engine code, it will be fine. Just don't decathlon the exhaust or go bigger than 2.5-2.7". Also use 0w40 over 10w40/10w30 outlined by seat.
Apparently according to my new turbo specialist, the ratio of compressor wheel to turbine on the loba is useless which means it's so hard to map.
And it seems turbodynamics are on the list of people who know nothing by about car parts. They were asked to increase the bearing quality to as...
Reference tuning, no guide as of yet as I ain't finished with mine yet. But I've cracked 300bhp with ease whilst limiting torque to 360nm to keep the dsg happy. Absolutely no lag and peak bhp and peak torque are at the top of the rpm range. If you look at some of the maps available so far...
Hi all, haven't been on here much over the last year, had to put on hold a couple of things and take a step back from others.
After being injured in Afghanistan I spent most of last year in rehabilitation and physio, which ended up in me being medically discharged from the Parachute Regiment...
Its the same engine but you have to remember the CAVD came out on the A1 about 2 years after the original CAVE. So it has the 2 years of updated parts as standard. If you bought the last CAVE before it changed to the CTHE code then it should be the same as the CAVD. The CTHE has different...
Let me just address some of the questions posted
The noise the timing chain makes when its on its way out is a squeaking rattle sort of noise. Sounds a bit different to the 1.2tsi video above.
Regarding boost cuts using revo and apr........once soft misfire is detected then the ecu reduces...
With hardware alone and standard software we made 30bhp extra.
Stage 3 map give just under 280bhp but we arnt finished yet.
With more pushing and water meth injection we will get 300-310bhp
Note ZERO misfires. Torque will be limited to 360Nm which is why we can't take it any further
queen, do you know exactly what e tuners are doing to solve misfires? Greek mappers are much more successful than ours in britain and although I trust my tuner, I am worried when he does push things I will get misfires. Could you pretty please with sugar on top find out what your tuner did to...
