  1. Sub Started Making "Fart" noises

Hi all. I've been running an Infinity Basslink Subwoofer with 4 channel amp built in running my front speakers for about 18 months. However the past week or so it has started to "fart" if that makes sense at higher volumes i.e. it still beats in line with the song but it isnt crisp and...
  2. How easy is it to remove rear adjusters on coilovers?

Bear in mind the springs dont really sit right with the adjusters out and it makes the ride on the rear worse.
  3. Swapped Fabia vRS for Ibiza?

Its the same car, wouldn't bother personally, its just a move sideways. Even to the Cupra models, still the same chassis, just with less space.
  4. Standard Suspension -> coilovers. Bumpstops transferable?

Your new coilovers should have bumpstops already fitted on the front? Post a pic of what is in the box we'll be able to tell you exactly what you've got there.
  5. Cracked Oil Sump - 1.9tdi FR

Loads of people on Briskoda with silly low Fabias have cracked their sumps but none of them have had the cars written off?! A new sump is a couple of hundred quid.
  6. Standard Suspension -> coilovers. Bumpstops transferable?

Hello there, I believe on the Ibiza the rear stops are 67mm - short and should not cause any problems. However, I have a Fabia VRS and our rear bump stops are 120mm, I am down about 70mm on coilovers and have just found out I've been riding around on the rear bumpstops for 6,000 miles, no...
  7. Strut insert

    More info needed tbh.
  8. Raceland Coilovers

Looking at the bracket and spring design it is similar to Weitec and AP, and with those you do not need shorter droplinks.
  9. Coilover Question

You dont need shorter links on the AP or weitec due to the design of the mounting, it is raised to to clear the driveshaft. I have the adjusters out and the springs sat on the black cup things but the springs sit awkwardly and its a bit bouncy, but with adjusters its just too high
  10. TDi service

I just replaced the fuel filter on my fabia vrs I found it difficult to start might be worth filling it up with diesel first. didnt replace any o-ring though? would it have come with my new (genuine) filter already? how often does the filter itself need replacing?
  11. Ta Technixs - Somin bent :S

    crap product then
  12. Ta Technixs - Somin bent :S

Put standard droplinks on, if the roll bar is not touching the driveshaft you dont need them. I have ap coilovers and they have exactly the same design for the ARB bracket, I'm down about 60-70mm and dont need shorter droplinks. The ta technix people dont have a clue about their products. at...
  13. Advice needed!

wouldnt waste your money put it in a savings account and when youve got enough go and buy a pd130 or a 1.8t, 1.4 NA will never be fast.
  14. Ta Technixs - Somin bent :S

Youve used shorter droplinks... these arent needed because of the shape of the bracket lifts the standard ones up higher...

vrs is built better but fr has more toys
  16. vRS or FR

Same car underneath comes down to which you prefer. I went VRS because I needed 5 doors and its more fun beating BMW 318s in a skoda..
  17. Tyre speed rating

They come out of the factory with a W for a reason. Change it to V at your own risk. Personally I wouldnt
  18. stage one map. 0-60

Chispadete do you have something against P Torque? Excellent map from Will on my Fabia VRS had it done at 43k now on 49k with no problems 180bhp and 301lb ft on the rolling road suspect its more 175ish and 295ish as I dont take RR as gospel but nonetheless very happy.
  19. Help for those with sticking calipers/ handbrake

Hi all I am a Fabia VRS owner since it is the same platform I thought some of you might have the same problem with the rear caliper (especially the O/S) sticking on. See this thread: http://briskoda.net/fabia-i/handbrake-cable-issue-my-vrs/154579/2/ It involves fitting a small spring to...
  20. stage one map. 0-60

I'd say with a stage one remap a PD130 Ibiza will do 0-60 with a good driver in something like 7.2 seconds. I have a fabia vrs which is heavier probably something like 7.5 seconds.
