Turns out this is far easier on the XL that a standard Altea - open a panel in the inside of the boot and the rear of the light cluster is exposed, the bulb holders release with a quarter turn. Took about 2mins to replace the pair of bulbs. Not a torx screw or thumb screw in sight.:D
