I'll check the ESP thanks......I've got a cig lighter volt meter, I guess the volts would definitely go down slowly....and no-start after a bit. possibly do a current check for the fuses to the right of the steering wheel...?... in an ideal world i could check what current each fuse is...

Hi, Whether anyone can assist Been having long term battery drain problems (this is now happening on a new (less than 1 year old) battery, get in the car after a couple of days, and...no power, just relays clicking. under 11v. does not happen consistently. Usualy (38 times out of 40?) its ok...

oo ok. right yeah. at the moment its a standard genuine (skoda/vw) battery, nothing special. im going to buy a voltage display first to check what the running voltages are. the amps are component=alpine 4x100w rms sub=alpine 440w rms thumpy type music, rather than long duration bass...

might be more visible here got a 90A, had a quote for a 120A of £238 fitted any suggestions if it would be good to go bigger than this. its basically for the <1kw in the boot thanks

The starting performance has been 'iffy' for a bit, suspecting the alternator might not be charging the batt properly. Pretty sure the battery is known good. The 90 amp alternator is 8+ years, has a slight high pitch ball bearing noise if thats relevant, altho the timing belt has been replaced...

think it looks even dodgier with no paint :D maybe, lol

i found out the bolts that hold the calipers arent the calipers themselves. trying to visualise whether to paint the whole lot the same colour. :D

ok would just appreciate some input on these (dodgy paint shop pro sklls.) not sure whether to try for all-colour, or keep the pins black. all-colour maybe ? cant get maroon so I might have to try red/blue/black combo's....not sure how hard that will be.

thanks the black diamond were from dc performance the mintex were ebay, i reckon tbh the black diamonds look good...worth £30, standard discs. whats the compressed glass thing, i guess they give different braking characteristics for a heavy hgv braking style ?

considering black diamond (£60) and mintex (£30) i am guessing with pads, you get what you pay for ? no track use, just regular driving possible green stuff, but they come across as a bit more racing than regular driving ?

seen some black diamonds which might work on the caliper colour....say dark purple, would the only way to get this be to mix 2 colours together ? rather than spray

any ideas for improved brake pads or companies to ask ? or just google etc. very grinding at the moment, replacing asap
