    Rear View mirror question

I fitted an autodim on my last Leon. I just wired it into a permanent live for one of the interior lights up near the mirror and it worked fine. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

    Folding mirror

Hi, either it's corroded up and died or it was iced up due to low temps. I had to replace my driver's side one last year, when I took it to bits it was very corroded up. It had gradually been getting slower up to the point of finally dying. Hope it's just iced up! Sent from my Moto G (4)...

    Mid Exhaust

Yes, it only takes the box out that is just in front of the nearside rear wheel. It's miles after the cat. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Mid Exhaust

Dealer part but depending on where it's broken I would consider a mid box delete. Zaustworks sell them for £80 on eBay, that's where I got mine from. Didn't take me too long to fit, only needed to make one cut and drop the exhaust down to get it all back together. Sounds nice and meaty now but...

    Mid Exhaust

Depends which model you have. My midbox started blowing on the seam but I have a Cupra and couldn't get a pattern part. It was dealer only for cat back. So I took the opportunity to fit a mid box delete kit, sounds great now! All other models have the exhaust systems available from aftermarket...

    2010 Cupra MAP sensor location

Hi all, Anyone know where the MAP sensor is on a 2010 Cupra. I've not had a good look yet but searching on here and google came up with nothing. It's throwing a code so I'm going to replace it. Was easy to find on my old Toledo ARL 1.9tdi, open the bonnet and it was staring right at you...

    pd170 alternator pulley

Yes but it's common for the pulley to seize and then it knackers the auto tensioner and the belt. Symptoms of failure are a rattling tensioner. I've had it on my Toledo TDI and my mk2 Leon. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Aux and USB problem.. Seat Leon FR MK2 06 plate

Pre facelift doesn't have the aux and usb next to each other down in the cubby in front of the cup holder bit. Has someone retrofitted a facelift centre console in for some reason previously? Maybe it's not wired in? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Good car mats??

Sorry, didnt think of that! There's the same label on all the mats. Why don't you just phone your nearest TPS and see how much they do the genuine mats for? Or the dealer? I found mine on eBay being sold by a main dealer. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Good car mats??

Just cleaning my car now and found the part number on the back. My mats are the genuine ones but the better quality of the two options. They are very good. It's a facelift car but mats fit the same pre and post facelift. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Rear brake pads

Handbrake should be better and have slightly shorter travel initially with new pads on as they are thicker. Could be due to pads not being bedded in yet. Have both cables been connected back up properly at the callipers? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    1.9Tdi Mooing on switch off

Just messaged my mate who has a tdi. It's your vacuum solenoid. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Rear brakes dragging

I've changed one of my rears. But it was the opposite issue, it wasn't making much breaking effort. Easy to replace, (if you have a vacuum brake bleeding machine and a hose clamp.) interestingly, TPS couldn't do me a red one and wanted a small fortune, but my local motor factor had a red one...

    1.9Tdi Mooing on switch off

Not sure what the box is but those look like vacuum pipes going into it which would explain the mooing if it was releasing the vacuum when you switch the car off. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Cupra Tyre wear question

No, I'm totally standard and kiwi green! I do rotate front to back every 6 months as I keep winters on the back and also to prevent the common MK2 rear tyre feathering wear and drone. I suppose that might be a factor on the inner edges. The neighbours are looking at me loke I'm.bonkers as...

    Cupra Tyre wear question

Hi everyone. Am just swapping over to my winter tyres and noticed this wear on the inner edges of both my fronts. The tyres are pretty worn anyway but wondered if I need my tracking doing? What do you think? I do 90% motorway driving and it runs straight and true with no wobbles or vibrations...

Seat Service vs VAG specialist garage

For a good Derbyshire VAG specialist try Chesterfield VW Specialist. He has done work for me and a few friends cars. I have been impressed. Plus there's a decent cafe on the trading estate where he is while you wait for servicing being done. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

What did you and your MK2 do today?

Just doing a bit of minor work on my day off. Changing the cam chain and tensioner on my Cupra. Started to get a bit growly so thought best to change. Following a great guide from Mk5 GTi forum. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
