It probably does, but a bit of education sounds better!
  2. seat leon 2.3 vr5 conversion

I think this is the cause of the comments, it's not a public hanging, just a reaction to this statement.
  3. seat leon 2.3 vr5 conversion

Who cares whether he's uninsureable, he'll be in prison when he's killed someone and will leave other people to deal with the mess and pay for it!
  4. seat leon 2.3 vr5 conversion

I wonder whether you have declared all of your existing modifications? If you end up having a serious accident have you considered the consequences of not being insured?
  5. Failed engine mount.

I didn't feel anything, just the slightest of grumbles, nothing really, until it goes, then you notice!
  6. Failed engine mount.

I noticed it, it sounded like a tractor! The vibration was awful, obviously I stopped immediately, I was only going 10 mph at the time anyway over some rather nasty speed bumps, my engine was effectively on the floor! When I thought about it, I had heard a slight rumble on occassion for a...
  7. Failed engine mount.

My drivers side mount broke in a big way last month, the engine was almost on the floor. I needed the whole assembly and the cambelt had to be removed as the part that fits to the engine needed to be replaced. I'd get it checked if it looks different to normal, it's not cheap to put right!
  8. Internal temperature sensor location

I have realised that I forgot a potentially important fact, I have factory fitted sat nav, there are holes in the plastic each side of the screen now I have looked properly. I'll search for a guide to removing the unit, it's not obvious! I have the radio code thankfully! Thanks for the help.
  9. Internal temperature sensor location

I have suspected for a while that there was aproblem with my climate control sensor on my lcr. My airconditioning pump has stopped working for some reason and I expected to see a problem with the air con pressure sensor but I got fault code 00785, temperature sensor in instrument panel (G56)...

  11. I need some new brakes

It has Brembo discs, I asked for them, I'm not sure what pads they fitted, I just asked them to fit whatever it's meant to have.
  12. I need some new brakes

Well, I have decided to keep my car, I thought about what else to buy, I think I'd miss my Cupra R, it's a great car. So I spent £1600 on it today, it has new brakes, cambelt, water pump, power steering pump as it's knackered, new top mounts on the front suspension amd I had to have a new...
  13. I need some new brakes

Thankyou for all responses, I feel confident that the places mentioned supply parts that work!
  14. I need some new brakes

OK, thankyou. I think I'll just give it to my local garage then, they'll just get some from a factors, they've been excellent though, very good with VAG common problems. If anyone wants a decent garage in Ipswich, pm me!
  15. I need some new brakes

I probably would do that too, if I planned to keep the car, even if I keep it, which I probably will as I'm too busy to sell it, I can't remember the last time I went over 60mph, very sad I know and a bit of a waste of the car!
  16. I need some new brakes

I have but I'm not sure whether the parts are any good, I was just looking for a bit of reassurance really.
  17. I need some new brakes

Hi, Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy new discs and pads for my 2002 Cupra R, I want some that will work obviously but I'm not looking for race car performance, basically I want to keep the cost down! Thankyou.

    Smoking!
  19. 17" or 18"????

No problem, I never realised that the Euro look involved reducing the rolling radius, I assumed that the reduction in wheel size was compensated for by putting the correct size tyres on.
