  1. Replacement wiper blades

I put Michelin Hybrids on mine and find them much better. Really cheap from Costco.
  2. Leon FR 1.4 TSI variants

The 125PS engine is the older chain driven engine, which was also available in twin charged form in a number of other VAG cars (140-180ish). The 150PS engine is a newer design, and is available in 140PS (without ACT) and 150PS with ACT. It has a cam belt, but it is supposed to last the life of...
  3. MY 16 FR Steering Wheel

Can anyone confirm if the new wheel is any thicker than the old one as I understand that was one of the changes in the latest versions?
  4. Alternative way to fold mirrors

No, it doesn't lock the doors, just folds the mirrors. And yes, I know how to fold them outside of the car, this is just an alternative way.
  5. Alternative way to fold mirrors

Just discovered a new way to fold the mirrors. Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but if you hold down the lock button on the key fob when removing the key from the ignition the mirrors fold.
  6. Big thanks! + New discovery

Mine's an early 2013 car and the mirrors don't unfold till the ignition is turned on.
  7. Whats this?

Is it the clip that holds the bonnet stay?
  8. More turbo wooosh

Record some "woosh" sounds and play them through the stereo? :p
  9. Update: blown turbo Cupra 280 repaired and failed again

In most cases, yes, but I'm sure I read somewhere that Tesco Momentum was partially biofuel to get the Octane rating up. I used to have a Volvo S40 T5 and it didn't run well on Tesco Momentum but was fine on the Shell and BP premium fuels.
  10. Worth waiting for Tech Pack?

Some of the non Tech Pack cars will be ex Motability as well, as the free/reduced price offers didn't apply to those either.
  11. Rear Wiper Size

They are on offer at Costco at the moment - going to try and get some tomorrow. The Michelin site doesn't list a part number for the rear though
  12. Under Seat Storage

Mine is on the right (when looking from the front of the car) and I have headlamp washers (May 13 car).
  13. Spare Wheel Kit

Seat have obviously realised it's a money maker - was only £75 option when I ordered my car.
  14. Time change

    Snap
  15. Front Bumber Wrapping

Thanks Mark - will definitely have to look into that. Really sharpens up the front of the car. Would love to get my mirrors done as well as I didn't go for the Titanium pack, but think that might be a problem with them being so angular.
  16. Front Bumber Wrapping

How did they manage with the front parking sensors? I'm only about 10 mins from Custom Coats and am very tempted to do the same as you (also got a red FR). Also, for anyone else interested it seems they have moved to new premises. Address now is: Unit1, Elm Park Larch Court Elm Road...
  17. 18" tyre pressures

Mine's a 1.4 petrol. I pumped the tyres up earlier and ended up with the same figures you have, which are close enough to the numbers on the sticker. Not sure if the 1.8 has different recommended pressures, but I can take a picture of the sticker in the morning (when it is light) if it is of...
  18. 18" tyre pressures

Thanks. 23/21 assuming my gauge is correct, but they don't appear underinflated at all. I'll dig out my pump and see if I can get some more air into them.
  19. 18" tyre pressures

Anyone know what the tyre pressures should be for 18" wheels? The warning light came on in my car today, and on checking the pressures on all 4 wheels they are much lower than the numbers quoted under the petrol filler flap, but are the same on each side  Thanks Simon
  20. What would you change?

Gas strut to hold the bonnet open - was surprised to find it had the old fashioned support.
