    Wheel Bearing Q's

Thread revival.... It seems mine is making a horrible droning noise. It started on my old set of tyres, a new set has been fitted and its still the same, if anything, it's getting louder each time. Also, turning corners different directions make it louder than the other direction. The noise...

Hmm, looks like this is the car my wife has owned for the last 12 months. Is that a good or bad thing ?

A Nissan Sunny/Pulsar GTIR would have smashed the lot of them, new or old hot hatch..

    1/4 mile tactics

30 psi sounds far too high to me for optimum grip from the start line. When I used to drag race a nissan pulsar gtir, I dropped the Toyo 888's down to 20psi, albeit, the pulsar was 4wd. If you are suffering from wheel spin, drop the fronts to 25psi and see how you go from there.

And thanks for all the welcome back wishes. At times, I wish I never got rid of the LCR. At least the little Ibiza cupra brings some fun into driving again :D I'd better update my profile as well while im at it.

I've checked my engine and its seems to be a CAVE type, aren't they the ones that were reported to be the oil burners ? So far after 300 odd miles, it hasn't used a drop of oil :funk:

A the moment, i've only managed short runs with her (2-5 miles here and there) and it returning 37 MPG, which I think is good for short trip journeys.

Just dropping in to say hello for the 3rd time. After originally owning a ibiza cupra tdi, a few other marquees inbetween, then the mk2 Leon cupra r. I then went to the land of nissan jukes for 18 months. Now i'm back with the Seat brand and got myself a Ibiza cupra dsg on a 61 plate...

    10K and sparkplugs look burntout

You got me worried about the plugs for a minute untill I realised you your car is re-mapped. My Cupra R is going in for it's 10K service on Saturday.Mine is standard, so no need to worry about the plugs ?

Whats wrong with the Cupra R???

A friend of mine has a Mazda3 MPS. Great car BUT £450 per year road tax and expensive to run.

New Cupra R or 2nd Hand Focus RS

My Cupra R does an average of 35mpg, thats a mixture of commuting (wife) and B road blasts (me). And to add, there is nothing in performane diffrence between the Cupra R and the FRS in standard guise. Both fantastic cars.

    K1 Gone but not forgotten

I agree, when I used the apexi electronics, they were mostly left in high settings. But they do come in handy if you are using an ecu with switchable maps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
