Have you checked drop links? One could be on its way out, when ive had knocking its been the drop links just changed mine the other month again thanks to uk's roads, no knocking now :)

Yeah well I put the car into kwik fit as I was desperate for the service and mot thats when they replaced the brakes and handbrake cable, well £400 + later I took it to a local garage who specialise with seats and they said the same that kwik fit may have been too rough and damaged the caliper...

Cheers for all your help guys last weekend a friend on mine helped me do pretty much all you suggested and turned out it was the caliper all along so a new caliper is on and everythings back to normal :)

Hi guys had the car in for a service and mot the other day and had the rear brake discs and pads replaced. The rear drivers side pad is smoking and the disc is red hot, is this just due to the pad bedding in or does it sound like the caliper needs changing out too?? Any advice greatly...

Yes mate they fit, i've got 225/35/18's on mine and they fit fine no rubbing at all :)

yeah i had to save up big time they cost me just over a grand for them with tyres. but had many positive comments so its worth it lol. might eventually get them powder coated one day but not too sure on the colour might try white.

yes mate R32 wheels from the new model, when i went to VW to buy them the dealers were shocked when i said i was gonna put them on a Seat as they've never seen it b4 but i think its worked quite well, so ive been told.:D

Well the Revo remap took it to 150 bhp, the full miltek system added 15 bhp and the upgraded air intake and panel filter it takes it to roughly 180 i need to get it back on the rolling road to get a spot on bhp but its near as damn it.
