  1. Cupra's in the snow

I posted this last year: I've found my Cupra to be OK in the current snowy/icey conditions. I have to get up and down a hill to before I can reach a clear road. I turn off the ESP, stick it in second gear and as Martin Brundle says tread on the throttle so carefully imagine there is an...
  2. Rubber mats

I got the Cannon ones about 3 years ago - they've been great - and they are now in my S3 :)
  3. Goodbye Yellow FR

12 string - good luck with your Exeo - I've just posted a similar thread....http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=328918
  4. Goodbye Cupra

Thanks Red Ibiza - I'm still smiling :) Running costs for the Cupra - servicing was pretty cheap - I used a very good local independent, JKM in Portsmouth. I only had a five mile commute to work but I used to get about 26 MPG and that rose to 31 MPG - but that's not driving like a granny...
  5. Goodbye Cupra

Thanks guys - no pics at the mo, not sure I ever tried posting any! No divorce procedings yet - :D
  6. Goodbye Cupra

Well, after 3 1/2 years and 26,000 very happy miles I have moved on to pastures new. I'd been doing that thing I'm sure we all do from time to time; surfing the net spending pretend money and wandering if various cars could ever replace the Leon we all love. I'm a big fan of VAG products...
  7. life after Leon: What will your next car be ?

Why do you care what other people think of your car choice? I've had my 'mid life crisis' had an Elise for 4 1/2 years and 3 BMW's before that. I find it quite funny that people see SEAT as downmarket - I rather like the fact that apart from a few cheap bits of interior - the car is well...
  8. What did you and your MK2 do today?

Reversed out of the garage, hoovered the interior and back in the garage :D
  9. Leon Cupra R

That is a cracking price
  10. Black dots on backend from exhaust

Agreed - what the guys have said above - not a problem to worry about. :)
  11. not so common?

NigelCupra and RichandBecks - I live in Waterlooville and hardly see any Cupra's - there may be a few more of us now!
  12. THRUXTON BTCC this weekend

Just got in from a super day at Thruxton. Saw the Barmy Army flags flying high as usual :D Great to see Tom get a well deserved podium too.
  13. My 2010 Leon FR Candy white

Nice car buddy! Nice colour :D
  14. totally renewed paintwork

I generally get the tar spots off every panel each time I clean mine. Pain in the arse but if you leave them to build up it takes an age to do :(
  15. Kings Seat, Portsmouth

Not at all really - basic service, no probs for the MOT pass and no advisories - about as good as it can be. Given the fact that a garage looks after probably the 2nd most expensive purchase most of us make and the fact I work close by, they suit me fine.
  16. Kings Seat, Portsmouth

I bought my Cupra new from Kings (now Snows) in Feb 2008. Adam who works in the parts department has always been very pleasant to deal with and also let me know when they were getting a Cupra R in so I could arrange a test drive. Adrian the sales guy was fine when we discussed a potential...
  17. Cupra/fr engine reliability issues

3 yr old standard Cupra, had it from new, no problems at all  That'll soon end now then!
  18. Candy White Cars

Pain in the arse :headhurt: As someone has said above, the tailgate and rear bumber get particularly grubby very quickly. I clean mine every other week and use Auto Glym Aqua Wax to help the paintwork repell the dirt. I'm still glad I chose candy white - had plently of silver, grey and...
