A couple of questions to spenny and rllmuk It would be interesting to know how you recovered the unit from a bricking session? Does the firmware 1026 give you a time display on the mfd3 ?

You shouldn`t need one .Mine works fine without Your existing fakra lead fits into one of the holes ,I think its the inboard one.

Funny thing is , as much as I`m not a great fan of the aero kit .I think the front end of this looks better than the new facelift leon ,which I think has now lost a lot of its artistic flow with the new flat front end.Rear end looks fine though (on standard car that is ).

Yes , Just ask your dealer for that and they will want your VIN number or reg to match up the dash board colour as there are a few shades of grey dependant on model etc . I was lucky and the inset colour of my SEAT mfd3 is the same as my dash on a cupra.So if you get the option when ordering...

Mine came off earlier in the year ,I tried to play the warranty card but the dealer refused and separated me from 50 quid for a painted replacement. Ouch!!

Hi Nick I read on the VW Navi forum that the vw1100 firnware is designated to vw rns510 as that one has a Sd card reader and the upgrade freezes on the SEAT unit when the firmware tries to install the SD reader info. Only concerned as I don`t want to brick my mfd3 !:doh:
