    Canbus and aftermarket unit

I believe that canbus is only for OEM units, not for aftermarket like this one. It has a similar canbus adapter and can only work with this one.

    Canbus and aftermarket unit

Leon is 2007. I have bought android4 2din navi stereo with canbus adapter to replace standard radio. It's a great unit, quality is top notch. Unit buttons light up when I tur on the lights, unit starts when I turn on the key and turns off when I pull out the key. That's ok. It all works except...

    Operation Sound Proofing :)

I've done the whole car, and all I can say is this - biggest difference is when you properly insulate wheel arches (outer trim) and put on quieter tyres. That is the root of all noise.

    Interior trim removal help

Oh damnit :( The most important part of soundproofing should go there, in front of those wheel arches. I will give it a shot.

    Interior trim removal help

So how do I remove this trim? i know it's bolted at the bottom below the seat, I've seen it, but is it also bolted at the top where head airbag is? Can I jus pop it off without removing the upper white trim? Wouldn't want to brak anything. Thanks a lot! also marked as "1"

    Damn Noisy Fuel Tank!

On Mk2 you just grab the seat from beneath and pull the front part of the seat up, one firm and strong pull towards the roof on each side. Nothing to break there. Metal clips are just inserted in the holes. And then push the entire seat towards the boot and up, to loosen it off from rear hooks.

    Operation Sound Proofing :)

I've done entire boot with wheel arches, under the rear seat, boot lid, all 4 doors, front wheel arches (the part that is in the cabin - one third, I reckon) and front footwells. Stil have to do the part under front seats and rear footwells. I won't touch the roof because it's too risky to...

    Quieter leon

This stuff is great. As for now, I did only the boot, rear wheel arches, boot lid, bonnet and driver doors, an you really can hear the difference. Car is around 30% quieter from road noise. Still have to do rear doors, front and rear footwells, space below the front seats, and below the rear...

    Quieter leon

Well, I live in Croatia so I can't help you about the location :) Costs about 5 GBP for 1m2. 40 GBP is enough for the whole car. Thanks for the link! Didn't see that before... I see he used almost the same material... :) This is the stuff: http://www.kflexusa.com/FileUploads/IMG_4044.JPG...

    Quieter leon

I just bought 7 square meters of dense self adhesive insulation foam (K-Flex Duct - 10mm thick - water proof, fireproof), and today I will start filling the car up. Boot goes first, today I will insulate boot floor, boot sides, rear wheel arches, boot lid, and the place below the rear bench...

    Folding mirror crackling noise

My drivers mirror started making weird noise, like "TRRRRRRRRRR" all the way while folding/unfolding. What happened? has something gone tits up? Can I see the mechanism if I take of those mirror covers? Thanks!

Yes, that would certainly help, but I believe one door seal is just not enough to insulati oncoming traffic noise etc.

    Quieter leon

Has anybody tried to quiet down the road noise with additional weather strip? Golfs and audis have those glued to the door frame, but Leon is obviously too cheap for that :) It might make a signifficant difference, I guess one rubber seal is not enough.

    Help? weird noise.

Nothing normal in that grinding m8, alternator bearing going off. It's a simple and cheap repair, around 50€ here.

    Help? weird noise.

About the first sound m8, I have the same problem for some time, it escalated a bit right after I had the thiming belt changed. All pulleys, rolls and belts were changed, the only thing that remained is the alternator bearing (inner). And it got louder because the new belt is a bit tighter so...

    Changing the rear exhaust silencer

I will change the rear exhaust, so i'm interested if I need some extra parts to do that? Some gaskets or something? Or is it just plug an play? Thanks!
