I have that problem with the door, its when you got your hands full and get in and it twats you on the nose! Never had my temp sender work..don't really care because I know exactly how cold it is anyway! My headunit still works after 74k, never use it though, but it's still all wired up.

When it starts flashing i always put it back in the ignition and turn it to position 2 again. Works for me. Karls cupra, mine does that, i reckon it's either the solenoid or the mechanism itself.

Go on the door card removal guide, just above the door card theres a tweeter, that jsut comes off with the door card, theres 3 torx bolts behind there, undo them and pull the mirror off. Easy.
