    Cruise Control issues

I've replaced clutch switch, no joy. Looking on vagcom with the car driving, engine - group 6, speed does not change in field one. But my speedo is working fine and I have no error codes for anything. Could it still be the VSS in the gearbox?

    Cruise Control issues

Hi guys Trying to diagnose my cruise control not working. Logging in VCDS confirms that it can see the cruise control stalk ad brake switch working. The clutch switch stays at 0 and doesn't turn to a 1. Does the engine need to be running. To check that? I've got 2 implausible signal codes...

Putting a new aerial from roof to dash

I thought because the amplification part was in the stereo itself that wouldn't matter? I figured it was just because if it was already powered it could fudge the electrics

Putting a new aerial from roof to dash

Is there any reason you couldn't use a DAB splitter? I've got a windscreen aerial for my DAB that just refuses to work. :( And I don't fancy shelling out 47 quid on a DAB aerial if I can get away with it.

    Turbo Whistling

yeah, turned out to be damage to the turbo inlet turbine. :( Now I have a hybrid turbo and 230bhp though, so I came out on top I think :)

    Turbo Whistling

Still haven't worked out how to run the N75 test on vagcom, maybe I need to use a newer version, but that involves money :( I've been around and used plumbing tape and cable ties on all boost pipes, but it's still making the noise, and will intermittently loose power and smoke a bit, I don't...

    Creation motor sport alloy couplers

Has anyone actually fitted that ebay hose kit? Since remapping my hoses are popping off all over the place, my engine bay is beginning to look like an advert for cable ties. I know the Darkside kit looks the part, but for the price difference, I question if it's really worth it!

    Turbo Whistling

No, as soon as I take my foot off, or even back off acceleration the noise stops. I did notice that there is a clear difference between this whistling and the normal turbine noise (I can hear both at the same time)! I've been out and have a vacuum tester on the pipe to the actuator and it holds...

    Turbo Whistling

Hi Guys, hoping you can help me, again... My PD150 turbo seems to be whistling between 1500 and 2000 rpm then just stops, only under 50% plus acceleration and sometimes with white or black smoke, sometimes none. If I pull off a boost hose, the noise continues, if I remove the vac hose to the...

    Cupra TDi Running issues

No I never have the aircon on, to be honest, don't really have the climate control unit on at all unless I start misting up. I'm convinced it's all linked to the wiring on the sensor reading 1.18v and the other side of the sensor reading 5v. :( Looks like I've got a busy weekend... Just...

    Cupra TDi Running issues

When my stat went a couple of years ago it was slower than this to warm up and the temp would drop again. It hits 90 on the ECU and stays there. On the gauge it take over 40 minutes to start moving and never goes over 75c. :(

    Cupra TDi Running issues

Why would a faulty stat cause the ECU and gauges to read two different readings? I think it's wiring but I wouldn't know where to start. :(

    Cupra TDi Running issues

Hey, super extended resurrection on this thread... But, update! I changed the CTS, still the same kind of issues, noticed now that the temp gauge takes ages to start reading anything but the ECU side (on the climate control trick), reads 90 within about 10-15 minutes of driving at ~70mph. I've...

    Judding in first when stopping

I'm thinking they've cut corners and fitted some cheap parts to be honest, the slave cylinder looked to be made of really cheap plastic and the entire housing that the bleed nipple is on is loose. The pipe for the inline damper which they also replaced is also sat below the clip it's meant to be...

    Judding in first when stopping

We've had the car up today, there is no play in the crankshaft at all. There appears to be a very slight leak on the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder. Talking really slight, but could that be enough to cause this intermittent issue? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    Judding in first when stopping

Hi, thanks for your replies. The garage is a supposed "specialist" local to me, they've got a good reputation so I'm not sure if that is the problem. Since fitting the washer the issue still exists, but it's not as bad. I spoke to the garage today and they're going to fit another clutch and...

    Judding in first when stopping

Ok, so a month later here is where I am, and where I really need some help... The car has been in at the garage repeatedly to try and fix the problem, it's had a new clutch kit (flywheel, slave cylinder, etc), a new inline damper and master cylinder, the issue has only got worse, now in first...

    Judding in first when stopping

Hi guys, looking for some ideas on this one. My Leon 150 TDI has started judding when stopping in first gear. It doesn't do it in second or if I stop in neutral, so I guess it may be the clutch. The car and clutch are all standard. The clutch and flywheel were changed at 80k 3 years ago and the...
