    problem starting the tolly

Right well give it a service, oil, filters, (no need to do the plugs ;) tis a diesel so there are only glow plugs) There arnt many things thatll cause knocking, but do have a look at the aux belt tensioner, its on the left of the engine, under the boost pipe from intercooler to inlet, i had a...

    problem starting the tolly

When was it last serviced? The fuel filter been changed? Been filled up from a reputable petrol station with decent fuel? Have a check around the Oil cap for mayo, and the dipstick too. Have a look in the coolant res for some signs of oil. Check the aux belt and if you can, just whip off the...

    de-cat down pipe

It'll ease pressure on the turbo, less pressure on the output side to try and slow it down by exhaust gasses. Full straight through exhaust is what id be going for ;) get rid of that back box.

Can anyone recommend the Koni STR.T's on Leon Tdi?

Whats the quality of the JOM kit like compared to the Koni. Are you really just paying for the KONI name, or will it give a superior ride/ handling characteristics over the JOM's?

    1.4 TDI Turbo questions

audi one is VNT and the arosa one is wastegate so i think you have to take the N75 from the audi too, not sure about the ECU though, should just be a case of a custom map.

Mega overboost then finally limp mode

I may also limp from the high oil temperature, depending on how long you can overboost for. The MAP sensor not reading over a set amount may not put the engine into limp itself. 150 celcius is hot!

Mega overboost then finally limp mode

Well thats what i was thinking, as the oil is thinnner its getting hotter. What you using at the moment?

Mega overboost then finally limp mode

When did you last change the oil?

Mega overboost then finally limp mode

Surely its just easier to get a small oil cooler? Still getting the correct boosting as your keeping the oil colder. You can allways block it off if its taking too long to get hot in the winter. In theory id imagine a front mount will only make your overboosting worse as the MAP sensor will see...

Judder at low revs with foot down. 110tdi

Suppose you could kind of call it judder, ive noticed it a little bit, it just doesnt pick up or do much under 1700 rpm foot to the floor, then once it gets to 1800-3500 it pulls like feck. You getting more/less judder than when the engine drops below idle (setting off ect)

What bulbs? (not dipped, mains and fog's)

So are most people running LED sidelights too then? i Had some basic 4LED ones which have lasted fine, ive just up-graded to some 5LED super bright ones to use more of the refractor, and they dont seem to like the heat from the main's tbh although they are alot better and brighter, so having a...

    inlet/turbo cleaning

The CCV shouldnt have much effect on the turbo tbh, there is so little going in compared to the air/fuel, it just gets burned straight away, its the the fact it has so many places to land and collect on, (all intake pipe-work, compressor side of the turbo, intercooler ect). The sludge that...

    inlet/turbo cleaning

I would advise disconnecting it. I have and noticed more part throttle response. It also keeps your inlet manifold/valves cleaner, having less soot build upon them. The reason that the EGR is there, is to get the engine to EU standards, the only thing it does is reduce NOx on part throttle. Just...
