    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Cheers mate. Yeah it's certainly louder with the N294 removed. I just feel like it controlls boost better without it. I might relocate it at some point to clean up the cam cover again at some point.

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

I removed my N249 this week and did some logging. I was really pleased with how the cam cover looked with it gone and solving the jerking issue on part throttle, however from the logs it seems the DV response is actually poorer with the N249 removed, taking an extra second or so for boost to...

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

The TT is sitting back on the standard wheels now However, I got it mapped by a local tuner with the following result: This is purely from MAF figures so not accurate, but it's due to be put on the Dyno to have the map tweaked next week after I've uprated some hoses etc. etc. so im hoping...

LCR Timing Retardation and Lambda - What's Normal?

Here's a question for the LCR Boys I've just had a remap done by a local tuner. The car is a 2001 BAM TT 225 with apr intercooler, Milltek sports cat and cat-back, Badger5 TIP. The car was mapped to peak at 21psi boost and is due to have the map tweaked next week as I've now replaced a faulty...

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Thank you. I got the Milltek from a local place, but there are loads of dealers around the country. Just look on Milltek's website. Thanks a lot! The car certainly feels a lot more responsive now, its always hard to tell whether there is an actual difference though. I just wish I'd done some...

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Thanks, They'll be going silver I expect for some OEM class ;) Coils will be along in due course, It's all about £££ though, as I've got my eyes set on a set of KWs ;) Thank you. A Map is in the pipeline eventually. I just have a couple more tweaks to make and then to choose a vendor :)

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Wheels are back from being sandblasted and I've started preparing them for paint. As you can see the surface of the blasted metal is very rough: Flatted and ready for a coat of etch-primer:

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Got myself a new toy. Take one air-vent and dismantle: Add a few parts and you get this: A Race Diagnostics Liquid Gauge :) And now the view from the driver's seat is as so: It displays live data in gauge or graph form such as: MAF Airflow, Boost pressure, N75 position, Coolant...

    Bigger injector issues

Why did you buy bigger injectors mate? If you fit larger capacity injectors you need to map the ECU to suit them. If the injectors are operating on the same duty cycle as the standard map then they're injecting more fuel for the same amount of air, giving you far too rich a mixture hence why...

    "Stage 2" TT 225 Quattro

Fitted a V2 Badger5 80mm TIP, and a Jetex filter to go with it. Massive difference in size of TIP to standard, and the quality is really really good. Real easy to fit too, took me about an hour. Turbo as standard Plus Billet adaptor: The difference in...
