Started getting a misfire on my tfsi FR.
Diagnosed this morning as the coil pack on cylinder 2, replaced and given a run on the rolling road.
Misfire was still there! they wanted to change the spark plugs at the same time, but as I am on a service contract and they are due to be changed in...
This is spookily strange!
I had 2 bridgestone re050a's (assymetric) fitted on the rear last Thursday, got them to inflate to 31psi and also check the fronts.
Driving home was a nightmare, back end sliding (or feeling like it) and traction control light coming on! I put it down to the fact it...
Finally got round to getting myself a karcher and will be giving the FR a much needed clean!
What detergent can be used - the manual of course says to just use karcher products (of course) but surely something else can be used>
It is the type with the pick up tube - therefore I am guessing I...
My opinion, stick with what you have.
You say at 18 the insurance costs for mods are not a problem but they are for an fr
when you say an fr is not amazingly quicker, roughly 2.5 seconds to 60 is a big difference and will not be got cheaply as the engine is designed for low co2 1st...
I used to have one years ago in a fiesta, it was fitted by an ICE shop and the sub was matched to the area of the boot iirc.
The boot was dynamatted too and the sound was awesome.
Right so my wife is not going mad!
When she came home the other night she said she took the key out of the ignition and went to get out of the car and realised it was still running!
So she put the key back in and tried to turn it off but it took a few attempts.
I went straight out and tried...
update (sorry it is late)
The fixings in my 58 FR were already (very firmly) attatched to the carpet.
The mats the dealer had in stock never fitted, the holes did not line up - I left it with him to sort out.
Apparently the new mats have the same order code as the old mats which is why the...
I have just tried it again (including pressing it harder) but it is either off or flashing, perhaps they decided flashing was more of a warning than light on!
'58 FR
when is the esp on?
Searched and read a few posts on this but they descended into chaos regarding more power etc.
anyway, what does the dash light mean?
In the manual it states
if flashing - esp is working
if lit - esp malfunction or off
when I start the car the light comes...
I hope I do not get this problem although I tend to always leave it in reverse on the drive as it slopes down.
Learnt this the hard way after we got up to find our last car parked in the garage wall!
This drives me potty when I wash mine! I have to leave a rag on the engine to soak it all up as I clean round the engine bay.
What with this and the sills, leons and water do not mix!
(sorry for sort of hijacking the thread)
It is a standard feature dependant on model (I think)
I find I have to press it once to lock the car then press again and hold to shut windows and fold mirrors.
Same with opening, press once to open then press again and hold to open windows.
Mine is an FR btw.
