What did you and your MK2 do today?

Much nicer car (in my opinion of course), had a really great day out in it and the build quality is just night and day. Considering it is lower and stiffer than the Cupra, it rides much better and gives way more confidence through the twisty roads. But not everyone's cup of tea, but we had a...

    Recommend a new Head Unit

Very easy to fit and yes mine has Samsung bits inside. The video posted above seems to be the newer version, it looks quite nice and they've improved most of the menus. After my experience I would certainly buy another one, bang for buck you can't beat them. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

What did you and your MK2 do today?

I bought a Bluetooth OBD reader from eBay, think I paid around a fiver. Plugs in and then I use an app called Torque on my Samsung phone, it will scan and check for faults, it will even reset them for you (does some other cool things too, like measure 0-60 times) Used it a few times recently...

    driving a cupra r

All depends on the car really. I drove my Cupra hard on occasions and the water pump exploded and the cambelt shredded, causing me a very expensive repair bill! (This was after a year of ownership) I drove my Skoda Octavia vrs hard up and down the motorway and had no issues at all for 5 years...

    Petrol or Diesel FR?

Performance diesels are good, I drive a 330d and a focus ST at work, the ST sounds great, but the 330d is quicker and easier to drive :D Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

    Petrol or Diesel FR?

My wife's diesel costs a lot less than my petrol to run and we do roughly the same miles. She laughed when I filled up earlier and was happy I'd done 290 miles, she gets more like 500 Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk 2

    Wanted-engine cover for K1

You either cut the original box, or get the Audi TTRS cover which if I remember correctly is quite expensive There are a few people here who have done it and could help tell you where to cut Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

    LEON not CUPRA

Get the dealer to put the right badges on, saves you money at the end of the day. As long as everything else is ok and you're happy with everything else about the car then go for it. If you want to settle the finance on mine, you can have that, comes with Cupra on the back :D Sent from my...
