OK thanks, might just bite the bullet and get a new lock module then. Cheers
  2. Passenger Door Unlock problems

My Wifes 09 FR has just started doing this as well, since the cold weather has started it seems? Once it's been opened from the inside once it will open/ close, lock/unlock fine from the fob until it's been standing for a while again. Which makes me think there's something mechanical that's a...
  3. Seat Leon Cupra R 225 MPG 2013

I dont know why some people are getting on this guy's case about the MPG question and suggesting LCR isnt the car for him.. Sounds to me like he's just trying to make out whether that is normal MPG for an LCR or if there is something wrong with his car.
  4. Has anybody been here???

Yeah i'd tend to do easier jobs like that myself. They wouldnt stay in business very long if they charged cost & fitted bits for free though would they ;)
  5. Has anybody been here???

You mean for diagnosing faults? Yes they do.
  6. Has anybody been here???

Volks.. Thats where i take mine anyway, i was going to suggest taking it there since you live in Coventry.
  7. Has anybody been here???

Who was the small & trusted garage in Coventry that did it for half the price?
  8. TDI FR or LCR?

Go for a TDI FR+, get all the looks of the Cupra R decent economy for the missus, and they are more than enough to have some decent B-road action in.. Find a 150PD TDI to go for a test drive in and see what you think
  9. Red MK1 LCR's

They must all be owned by people in Coventry as the majority of LCRs i see are Red..
  10. Discs and pads - dealer cost?

I got Front & Rear Disks & Pads from EuroCarParts for about £150 and did them myself, only a few hours work in it.
  11. buch leon cupra r woohoo 444.1bhp

Less rotational mass is easier to accelerate and decelerate, and less unspring weight allows more effective controlling of the suspension due to less initial mass trying to be damped, and therefore inproves the handling capabilities.
  12. front splitter pics

That's not exactly true, my splitter catches on drop kerbs, high speed bumps, multi storey car-park ramps etc. due to the overhang from the front wheels. The sump is more in-line with the wheels so doesn't cause problems... The only issues you could have with hitting the sump are on the...
  13. Leon's becoming a Chav car

I can't actually believe that at 26 you are referring to people as the 'younger generation'. What do you think about people that are 40? Old coffin dodgers? :D Don't make yourself feel old too soon, you've probably got a long while to go yet! ;)
  14. car feels different after oil change and bushes changed

That's how i drive my Leon 150 these days, i don't have a problem with mine labouring and have gained an extra 4-5 MPG according to the computer, so that ties in with what you've mentioned.
  15. Battery Light On

Was going to say - Alternator.. That's exactly what happened to mine. Fortunately it was 2 days before my warranty ran out, so got it fixed for free :)
  16. Dipped beam is really dim!

I got a set of these Xenon bulbs: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=100 I took off a set of projector HID's when i refitted the original headlights to my car and find them more than adequate compared to the HID's If you buy direct from them you get 2 pairs plus some...
  17. Falken FK452's (Leon FR)

Don't know if you've found somewhere to get them fitted yet, but when i was looking i went on black circles and went all the way through the buying process until it asked me to select a fitting centre. When you put your postcode in it gives a list of local fitting centre addresses (but not the...
  18. Clutch on its way out?

Bit harsh isn't it? since when did you have to know the intricates of how a car works to be allowed to drive one?
  19. To all the Leon TDI 150 owners...

Yeah that what i said in my original post - 'as long as i'm on a flat road (i.e. not uphill)' I do it every day in the real world and in all traffic conditions (Including rush hour), not just using 6th gear, but by doing the same thing in whichever gear is appropriate for the road speed and...
  20. To all the Leon TDI 150 owners...

No, not painful in the slightest, the engine isn't labouring at at all. If it was then the rolling MPG would be reading low, but it's up at 80-100 MPG. Like I said though, you have to have a very light throttle.
