Had this issue since i had the car, and its been found by litterally moving the fusebox on top of the battery. So it was ‘fixed’ by previous owner sticking a sponge under it and it prevented the missfire. Remove it and its missing again. So, replace the fusebox and still the same. So i have...

id go for cleaning the carb, throttle bodu out....give it some wd in there...wipe it down then u should be ok, if it was water then it would have dried up by now....did u use anything in the water liek soap or other things of that sort...could be that thats the problem.....
i did this and YES! but rear backbench will need to be modified (never put them in mine, could never be arsed to do so lol) but the front seats are slightly bigger so u will need to take the backrest wheel adjuster off......

wont really give u much of a noise unless its right near the throttle body, and i dont think performance wise it will be noticable, will make engine run better for longer though...will get noticed in the long run
