Hid Zenon Kit fitted <MK1 LCR>

When you switch to main beam, your dipped remain on so the HID's would remain on with main beam. I have 6000K HID's in my dipped beam and find them just right but had to change to a whiter main beam because it annoyed me. HID's don't work particuarly well in a seperate main beam due to the...

What OIL should you use in an LCR MK1?

Wow that was a belated reply lol. That's actually quite a common fault which also occurs with the correct oil. It's because of the change to cyclone type oil separators rather than the filter ones, the cyclones pass too much oil which as you know goes straight into the air intake system and...

    Fuel filter help!

Yes be careful with them, Mine was so tight to press that when i managed to press it it jammed in and was impossible to release preventing the pipe locking onto the fuel filter. a bad thing when it involves the pipe on the front of the fuel filter as it runs to the front of the car and only...

    LCR stock head unit-i-pod?

It's just a normal headphone plug but on the case I have on my phone the case covers around the headphone socket leaving a hole not much bigger than the socket itself, the lead I brought had too big a casing around the headphone socket to fit into the recess so I had to but an adaptor to give a...

    LCR stock head unit-i-pod?

you need a 3.5mm jack plug to 2 male phono plugs lead, on my iphone the case has a small hole at the top for the headphone socket so i had to get another cable with a 3.5mm jack plug with a smaller casing to fit in the hole.

    LCR stock head unit-i-pod?

sort of but that one would lose your cd changer. Mines this basically. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Soundlinx-VAG-VW-Aux-ipod-input-VW02AUX-&-MOD01AUX_W0QQitemZ270528920270QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100210?IMSfp=TL100210145002r14686 but my lead was an SEA02AUX, i think its the same as the VW02AUX...

    LCR stock head unit-i-pod?

I'd recommend an auxilliary input kit so you can still control what you listen to from the ipod, mine also allowed me to keep my cd changer.

    n75 valve problems

I actually got mine from ebay but its a genuine vag one (or seems to be lol) was about £60, is easy to fit but one of the ports is longer than the other 2, it needs to be installed the same way in relation to the ports as opposed to the plug connector.

    Getting a remap

Good choice on the p-torque front dude, My mate does evolution chips remaps, what happenes is he goes round and reads the files out of the ecu, sends them to evolution chips and they send them back with the map applied and he writes them to the vehicle, at p-torque he will vag-com the car, dyno...

    n75 valve problems

I had a similar thing with mine after remapping, in the higher gears could feel a light pulsing and the turbo whistle dropping off and back on with it. Changed the N75 for a J type one on Will @ P-torques advice which seemed to sort it. But somebody else did mention that the same effect can...

Ok.. Decision time, thinking of remapping my Leon Cupra with AMD

I cant comment on AMD as mine is a P-Torque stage 1 but I think the answer will be yes, having the remap won't just increase your power and torque but the delivery of said power and torque.

    possible turbo surge????

Like i say it depends if the vehicle speed increased relative to the engine speed or not. The OP needs to clarify it really.

    Dead turbo?

yes definitely sounds like a pipe off (apart from them all being on obviously) Can you get the loud sucking noise just by revving the car or is it just under load? if you can do it stationary then get somebody recreating it and you pin point the area of the noise. A little test you could do...

Cupra to Cupra R car upgrade, is it worth it???

I imagine he does, we get them on chavved up mini's and the odd E36/E46 and in hot weather they are untouchable

    possible turbo surge????

I would expect clutch slip to make the revs go up rather than down, unless when it went up to 4-5k the cars speed didnt change in relation to the engine speed change. Sounds like maybe a misfire to me.

    Clutch Problem

aside from checking your fluid level and looking for yellow puddles under the car, i'd be checking the metal plate
