  1. Looking for elusive 18" fenix alloys

You got a good price on those! Normally breakers want around £250-300 a set.
  2. Goodbye Exeo!

I like the Alor Blue on the Leons, good luck!

  5. Insurance increases

Admiral do my nut in every year - they always jack up my premium by 100 or 200 quid. I check one of their sister sites (like Diamond) - come back and say I've seen it cheaper there - they say 'hang on whilst I log into the other system - oh yeah, we can see it, let me match it'. Basically a...
  6. Dealer RANT%!$%"$&%$&!$

Have you tried speaking to seat customer service? They were pretty good when I had some problems following a purchase and dodgy dealer work.
  7. Spare Wheel

I think this thread has muddled up two separate issues, being what will pass a MOT and what is actually fine to have as a spare for an emergency situation. MOT wise, if you do anything other than same wheel sizes on same axle, then you are heading towards failing your MOT...
  8. Cupra - Deciding on gearbox

This also reports that the ST did its lap time in a manual: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/seat-leon-st-cupra-280-sets-new-n%C3%BCrburgring-lap-record All a bit contradictory!
  9. Replacment Key

That rings a bell from when I was researching it.
  10. Replacment Key

Think immobiliser chip is more complicated than on older cars and so not sure if this one can be done using vcds. I started looking into it but as I had a spare key, it was easier for me to transfer my one.
  11. Replacment Key

    Sent you a message.
  12. warranty safe modifications

I've also seen an audi bulletin out there saying that car needs to be in stock condition to carry out warranty work, no sure if this applies to SEAT, but might be sensible to have something that can be easily changed back by yourself if you need to send it in for some work.
  13. Replacment Key

Yeah the difficult bit is the immobilizer chip. Getting the main key, a blade cut and paired to the central remote locking is doable. I managed to find an old audi key that was a tenner and it could be paried to my central locking, got the blade cut via ebay seller (took two tries) and then...
  14. Exeo ST Dog Guard.

http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/genuine-audi-a4-avant-dog-guard.263804/ for those interested, but please satisfy yourself that it fits!
  15. DAB Upgrade

I didn't think that would work either without a proper dab aerial? So even with that option, there is faffing to do with an aerial (I think).
  16. Seat exeo sport alloy wheels DV179

Like those wheels! Sg petch had them for ages, don't seem to now and think they have the wrong picture up for the dv180 (ie a 179), but might be worth a call to check.
  17. Remap options

Keeping an eye on this thread ahead of potential cupra purchase. Think I saw shark do one. And there are a couple of tuning box options that might be better for warranty work. Andrew any opinion on Revo vs APR map?
  18. New Exeo owner

I'd recommen a replace them for OEM ones - I did that and no more juddering!
  19. Leon Cupra vs Golf R - I can't decide

9.5K difference at purchase is impressive and would definitely help a decision. For the specs I've been looking at , i difference is more like 5k-6k if I was to pull the trigger. And 50% depreciation - depends on if you you are talking from RRP or what you paid (i.e. discounted new purchase) -...
  20. Sat Nav High fault... 1 day old Cupra

If you need work doing from a good independent specialist, I always thought Russel Automotive know what they are doing. Does seem a bit crazy though that there isn't a SEAT authorised service/repairer in the W London area. Has the West Mosely one gone too?
