    Timing belt?

Same as above, as long as the belt doesnt overhang i cant see an issue, i wouldnt worry about it, if the belt tramps when running (as in floats forward and back) then theres an issue

Retiming after timing belt a tooth out

Good to hear ! A little tip for next time that might help. Once the cam has been timed up to the new mark stick a cable tie around the belt and through one of the spokes of the pully. Time up the crank mark with the belt and wedge a cloth/microfibre under the belt and splash guard above the...

Retiming after timing belt a tooth out

Fitted my 2nd cambelt/tensioner & waterpump to the 20vt last friday, (cambelt due april and spat its waterpump last week) a good old bottle of tippex means you cant get it wrong. I still think timing off the fly and cam is always a bit hit and miss, If the old belts timing is perfect just mark...

    toothed belt change - apologies

The rubber perishes really. Belts suffer most load at tickover and between gearchanges. Usually they will go without warning. But id say 6 to 12month after the interval isnt really a problem. Just had a look at it and make your own judgement. Im sure the interval used to be 5 or 6 years but...

2nd rocker gasket in 6 weeks on my lcr

As you fit the tensioner tool it slackens the chain and allows about 10mm of lift once you take the old gasket and half moon out. Then you just fit the new halfmoon and slide in the new gasket then tighten the tensioner down and remove the lockong tool If you google 1.8t tensioner gasket guide...
