Not the actual car but a Morris marina.
Was so underpowered that i had to use 2nd to go up hills with the car full.
Lasted 20 days before i wrote it off and then had a MK1 fiesta for a few years.
Can`t believe i`ve been on these forums for 17 years!
Finally thinking of tracking my mk2 cupra. I`ve got a mx5 that i track at the moment but thinking of giving it up as i only do occasional days and track the cupra instead. It might also mean i spend less time using the indicators on track...
Brilliant guide thanks for writing.
Hopefully someone can help a newbie in this field. What cable do i need to buy (original link isn`t working) and which software do i need to download from Ross-Tech.
Thanks for reading :-)
Well they have said it`s the N/S/R wheel bearing on mine. Apparently on the ramps they moved the wheel about and it`s making a noticable rumble.
Replacement is £242.59. I`ll let you know if it cures it once it`s replaced.
Did you find out what this is? Mine is doing exactly the same. Booked in next Tuesday to find out what it is.
Don`t think it`s tyres. Have Yoka`s fitted and the tread looks to have worn evenly.
I`m guessing a bearing, had one replaced 3 months ago and the car was only on early 30k for miles.
well after looking at Cupras for ages i finally took the plunge and have one sitting on my drive.
Leon 08 plate black with a pearlescent red tint which gives it a deep purple look in certain lights. Very strange but i like it. Will post up a piccie once it stops raining.
Did look at K1`s...
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply, I suppose it is just a Cupra with a kit. But, as you said, i like it.
Would be looking at remapping it hence the question.
Apparently i haven`t visited since December 2007, so i suppose i`m a newbie again :D
Back in the day had a Leon Cupra. After a few years of company cars i`ve still got the bug and am looking at coming back into the fold.
Checking out K1`s at the moment. Any particular views on them from...
Saw it today as well. I was looking forward to it and, at first, if they hadn`t put cupra on the number plate and boot i might have dismissed it as the FR.
Not nearly aggressive enough for car it should be. Liked the steering wheel though, although that says a lot really.
Needs the "optional"...
The NXT stuff, is it the wax or wax paste that`s the best ?
Went to halfrauds (won`t get it for the weekend otherwise) and they only seem to stock the stuff in the bottle. If the paste is best i`ll wait :)
Ok, thanks for your reply. Out of the products you have recommended which is which?
ie which one is the good glaze and which one is the something nice one.
I think you can post suppliers as long as you are not affiliated with them.
Excellent info here, plenty to read :)
I`m looking at giving my black car a quick polish at the weekend. What`s the best polish to use bearing in mind that the car may well be in the sun at the time. Is it worth using something like t-cut as well to brighten it up?
Must get it properly...
Evening,
I know there are a few Kent people here so where do you get your car serviced? Don`t fancy the Sidcup Seat labour charges now it`s out of warrenty (although their service is excellent)
Couldn`t find anything on search so any garage details appreciated :)

Afraid i am another who has had problems with the Denison. Like ljsanders i eventually got it to use the i pod interface as well but that wasn`t what i bought it for.
Out of interest ian, have you got the active cradle or the lead ? mine is on a cradle.
That`s the problem I have, it keeps jumping past the poxy option i want and means i can`t change it.
I must be honest i`m going to speak to the suppliers and complain that the product is not fit for the purpose that it was sold.
Yes i still have the problem and no i haven`t received an answer yet. Because it keeps skipping it means i can`t get on to the control panel on the i pod and change the settings. If i could i would just mount it and use the ipod controls. It`s driving me crazy as well.
I have the same problem...
Yep if your car starts smoking just get everyone out, get to safety and call the fire brigade.
To get to the engine you have to lift the bonnet, as soon as you do that the fire gets a great influx of oxygen and WHOOSH!!! no eyebrows (if you get lucky) that and usually the bonnet is too hot to...
