Had it tracked and knocking noise a bit better but still there so it must have been something out of alignment, although now the steering wheel is not exactly in the middle when driving straight! Is this right coz the place say let it 'bed in'.

ok guys replaced the drop links with GSF parts, myself. but knocking seems worse. i'm i right in thinking that putting them in you use a star allen key at end of thread and tighten nut with ring spanner??? if you just tighten the nut eventually the lot will twist round??? getting some new arb...

hey guys and girls, just got cupra wishbone bushes and powerflex front wishbones done to my fr tdi , but still got knocking on suspension over rough ground and when turning hard!!! anyone got any other ideas??? car not lowered and all standard excluding whats mentioned above.:confused:

i use helix ultra from the dealers it's not too dear, expect to pay approx £50 for 4/5 litres don't scimp on oil it must be decent stuff:)

defo get both done at same time. one of mine had snapped at top and i'd not even noticed!!! it got picked up on the mot and was a failure!!! cost me £170 for both from an indie vag garage (volkmaster in bury) top lads:D

go for Toyo TR1's. i got them on my fr tdi and they're the bees knees!!!! well sticky but might not last too long!! don't expect them to last more than 8-10K miles tho!!! also got a small ridge to protect alloys from kerbing!!!!
