  1. Limp mode???

Mine was underboost issues. Not overboost.. I ended up buying a new inlet manifold from Darkside developments which is actually an alloy 140bhp motor manifold. It works a treat now. No issues and it feels so much better. I know some have done this with the motor in other cars as I have not seen...
  2. Limp mode???

Does it do it at about 2000 to 2500 rpm when pulling or accelerating? Ours goes into limp mode when going up hill or towing but above 2500 rpm and below 2000rpm it seems OK.. Not sure what it is but it had been diagnosed with an under boost fault. But we never got it fixed although it may need a...
  3. Seat dealers - repairing G201 pressure sensor fault completely free!!!

Mine is booked in tomorrow... I know it is the G201 code as I was told that it had failed about 18 months ago but as it was not an MOT issue and I was not worried I left it as they quoted £650.00 I think to fix it.... So a freebie is a good one... Lets hope they also find why it goes into limp...
  4. rubbish radio reception here is why !

Replaced the aerial for a fin type one but no change... I did have a little problem with the rear washer pipe becoming disconnected inside the rear panel. There is a small electrical connection in there that could be for the aerial but I am not 100% sure. Anyone know? I think it is possibly this...

Here is an article that shows a supposed 2013 car. http://www.caranddriverthef1.com/coches/novedades-pruebas/seat-tribu-2013
  6. Seat Tribu.... Anyone tempted when it finally comes out?

Was in the Seat dealer in Coventry today... Took ours in for new injectors.. Total failure.... Oh well...... sorted for free... Well I was talking about how Seat dont have a 4x4 option anymore... Seems the Tribu has been confirmed for next year..... Based on the 2012 Audi Q3 with the 174BHP...
  7. Altea wheel gallery

I REALLY like these...... Hmm...... I wonder..... Do you think my wife would notice a wheel swap on our Freetrack??
  8. rubbish radio reception here is why !

Had the same type of problem... Swapped my arial for the one you have.... but no better... I think there is a problem with a small unit in the rear panel as my rear washer stopped working and the join in the rear of the car became disconnected and sprayed water through out the inner wing area...
  9. 10-40w oil in PD130?!

Sorry to revive an old thread.... I was looking for oil information.... Found this and saw Rock Oil mentioned.. I am using Rock Oil and have used it in my bikes for a while... never had a problem and with the bike it has always given me more power than a comparable oil... never had an issue with...
  10. Freetrack to get common rail?/ freetrack ownership

Here is a quote from the Seat site on the 170BHP motor..... The same motor used in the freetrack.. However, the TDI 170PS CR engine deserves a special mention for another reason -its Common Rail engineering, which makes things quieter, smoother and more efficient. . It is a common rail...
  11. Freetrack to get common rail?/ freetrack ownership

The Freetrack used the same 170BHP engine as the FR. I love mine and it has been great so far. About 3000 miles since we bought it and I love driving it. But the previous car was a Renault Senic RX4 so this is in a different league anyway.
  12. Does anyone have a Freetrack?

It was not new when we bought it... It was on about 9000 miles but we only paid about £11,000 for it as the dealer had it sitting there for about 4 months! I have put some premium fuel into it before but my wife always wants the cheapest fuel and we usually fill up at Morrisons... I would...
  13. Does anyone have a Freetrack?

Not had a problem with ours and now have done almost 3000miles since we bought it a couple of months ago. OK I use supermarket fuel and it does get taken above 2500 or 3000 rpm when I am using it.. I do rev it a bit harder than I possibly need at times but know the DPF needs to be hot to clear...
  14. CD Multi Changer/Ipod Connection

Have a look here..... http://www.incaripod.com/Vehicle/SEAT Seem to have some options which may fit your wallet...
  15. Does anyone have a Freetrack?

It seems the one we got was a real bargain. 57 plate bluetooth, metalic paint, and rear airbags. 9000 miles and they fitted a tow bar for us and we got the car for £11,500. It is a brilliant car so glad we got it. Just sold the Chip we had for our old Renault so that is now going to pay for a...
  16. power and torque graphs

Corrected for you.......... I would email Seat UK and ask for the information you want and ask politely. They may be able to help but the figures may not have some specifics you are looking for. They usually just show the shape of the power curve and not show the actual RPM figures or...

  18. Car alarm and dogs??

  19. Car alarm and dogs??

We do leave our dog in the car for a while sometimes.... Not for long period but long enough for the alarm to go off if we go shopping or something... Is there a way round it or will I have to tape up the sensor????
  20. Does anyone have a Freetrack?

OK figured out the display and loving the car more and more... I have seen 135MPH (Private test track Bruntingthorpe honest) and over 40MPG. OK not both at the same time but on a run it went up to about 42MPG towing a trailer and race bike. Not done many miles really so not really sure what it...
