You may find it's a pipe vibrating against something as the engine rocks backwards under acceleration, have a look to the left of the engine for a thick plastic pipe that's suspect 1, suspect 2 would be if you have a strut brace if anything is hitting off that

When my switch failed (and it has done a few times) my brake lights were either on all the time or never on. The vortex thread linked below tells you how to change it without breaking it. Hope that helps

Check that you're not losing cooling fluid, mine leaked from right next to the heater matrix where the 2 aluminium pipes go into it from the engine bay.

Have you checked your brake lights? Quite common for the brakes to set off the glow plug light either due to a bulb or the brake light switch

Check the brake lights, they may not be working at all or on all of the time. Could be either a bulb or the brake light switch by the brake pedal

I had the faint whistle for about a week or so, then it got really nasty, struggled to make it to 30mph. Turbo bearings were shot and which caused movement on the impeller = bye bye turbo. Stealer quoted 1782 quid to replace the turbo so i'm looking at recon'd units instead...

You should see the two aluminum pipes going down behind the engine and going in towards the cabin of the car

If the layout is the same as it is on mine (TDI) have a look at the two aluminium pipes on the heater matrix, they have 2 'O' rings which perish causing the water to seep out. Once they wear out enough, the water will just empty in a matter of minutes. It's a tricky thing to spot until its too...

Mine's done about 115k but doesnt get used as much anymore, average daily mileage is about 15miles, whereas for most of it's life it was doing between 50 and 150 a day.

The switches are notorious for being crap, I've been few a few of them in my time . There's a very good guide for fitting them here
