Hi,
I’m looking to fit a towbar to my 2003 Leon Cupra and have two options:-
Online Towbars / Anker : “E6322”
Towbars UK: “TVW616”
Has anyone ever fitted either of these and can tell me of their experiences before I decide which one to get?
Thanks,
Sean
Thanks guys, both a great help - I've already massacred the trim across the back of the headlining when I tried to swap aerials a couple of weeks ago. (the nut is 22mm). I might go the roof route, will see how it goes - I fitted a dock lock mechanism today and my passenger door now opens on the...
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone’s got experience of installing a new aerial in a Mk1 Leon Cupra? Not just the aerial in the roof but also all the cables to the head unit…..
I’ve recently bought a Pure DAB 260DBi and have Halfrauds primed to fit it for me next Saturday – they’ll just put an...
Hi,
Had a new clutch fitted recently and had the PAS pipe leaking and lower engine mount worn as advisorys.
Is there a thread on here that shows how to remove and replace engine mounts please?
Thanks!
Hi,
Probably a stupid question, but when you depress the clutch pedal in a 2003 Leon should there be a "servo" type noise that only goes when you take your foot off the pedal?
Mine's done it for years making me think it's normal but I wanted to check with other owners...
Thanks...
Hi all,
Any ideas what could be happening with my 03 petrol Cupra?
A while back my fuel pump packed up so a local garage fitted a new one - job done or so I thought. Occasionally when I got to 1/4 tank of fuel if I was in 5/6th at the regular revs and put my foot down then nothing would...
I have a Leon Cupra 1.8T 20V on an 03 plate and last night the fuel pump packed up on me once I’d parked up and stopped the engine. The AA guy gave the fuel tank a thump and got it working again so I was able to get home. I then tried the same procedure and it’s not working so it looks like I...
Gotcha - thanks! Yeah, it's more of a plastic cap than a sheath. But as the wire isn't exposed on it I'll have to expose a bit of the wire, clip the aerial connector on the AA08 onto it then put some insulation tape over it. Job done!
I have the AA08 but I don't know where the blue cable with the plier type end has to connect to. I have a blue 'n' white cable as part of the loom supplied with my new stereo. This lead has a plastic sheath over the end. Do I have to strip the wire back and somehow make it on?
I bought some keys off ebay, put one in under the dx-man button and it came straight out!
do i need to unplug the battery when I put the new alpine in?
Sounds like the fella - transparent when new I would say. I've also got the VIN on a panel on one of the engine mounts too.
Will take a pic and put it up tomorrow - I'm in the Engineering trade so might get a stainless steel plate made or another plastic one!
Hi all,
On my 03 Leon Cupra there's a small matt plastic panel in the scuttle (the surround around the windscreen where the windscreen wipers are).
This panel has cracked and has a hole in it - I've taped it up with gaffer tape for the time being but does anyone know what purpose it...
I'm now thinking of an ALpine CDE-130RR (was looking at a CDE-120RR but for another £5 I could get the 130RR).
Does anyone know how eay/hard it is to remove the Aura and CD and put an Alpine in?
Understandable.
I was also looking at an Alpine CDE120-RR on ebay, but for another £5 I could get a CDE130-RR off a car audio site so will prob get one of those.

Hi,
While looking at head units last night I came across the following:
http://www.saxon-brands.com/viewprod-ss3322.php
Has anyone got one of these and if so are they any good?
I was attracted by the graphic equalizer!!!!
Thanks,
Sean
I also have a Kenwood unit over in my parent's loft - it's a KDC5090R I think. I dunno if that would be any good - there was definitely no USB port on it though you could get a cable I think. It's at least 10 years old......
