just an update. I have changed the passenger side top mount and i have no gap now, so obviously the old one i took out was worn. Still cant believe that after a few weeks. I greased the top of the mounts both sides to try and get rid of this squeaking noise that has appeared since replacing the...

Ok cool. i will give this ago, the reason i didnt do it was because the ones i took out didnt have a trace of grease on them. Do you have any ideas why the drivers side doesnt have a gap? :) cheers

Exactly that noise, bloody annoying. Did you take the top cap off and lower the wishbone to get to where the rubber is in contact with the metal part of the car? i greased the bearing where its in contact with the top mount. i will give this a bash a the weekend.

its not a knocking noise its like rubber against metal if you get what i mean? i have recently put a full super pro kit in. are you supposed to but a smear for grease on the top part of the mount where it meets the metal turret? strange how the drivers side has done it.

i have read up about the n249 working on some cars and not others, it feels better but i seem to be getting a different dump valve noise. The car is on standard map, i cleaned the maf at the weekend as it has never been done before.

Ive got to book it in for service, so i might get them to have a look. I would really like to sort it myself. Does anyone have any ideas?
