    Just did some logs because car feels a little slow today , i understand the g/s and cfs but not sure on the ign timing wandering if someone could have a look see if its all ok Done in 3rd gear

    Should of said earlier, Drove it normally for a week or 2 after i noticed the tapping, and one morning it had gone, no more tapping since , must of just had a bit of crap in one of the tappets thats worked its way out . Car sounds normal again :)

    LOL its had a brand new oil pump and pick up was cleaned out so ruling that out. mite do a flush and put 5w 40 oil in .

    if air to fuel ratio is above 13 (on full boost) then thats lean should be around 12, cant remember how to check this on vagcom (did mine on a dyno). i was running slightly lean for 2 years untill my engine seized up a few months ago. Big end bearing on journel 4 over heated and flattented...

    Thanks, Yea really happy its back, i owe my dad big time for doing it! Just annoyed i have to drive it like a gran for 500+ miles to bed the clutch and bottom end in, Need boost! Been usung my mates Fiesta ST for 7 weeks, nice to drive but nothing on the LCR.

    Update Turbo flutter is now sorted ! T-piece for boost gauge was in wrong way round all good now. No more missfire on start up now seems to have sorted itself out drives great now !

    Ok so sorted out the fluttering . Just had to disconnect the vacuum pipe to the boost gauge and all is well. Car hasnt missed or backfired for a while so hopefully its sorting itself out.

    Yea very quite , doesn't sound too bad once settled down and drives great except boost flutters which I'm miffed about , tried 2 DVs but still same, almost as if there's not enough vacuum to pull the piston up. Gonna try a compression test as jamie1 said, how did u sort yours out?
