I got my mark 1 Cupra at 23 and my insurance was £800 with 2 years no claims. The price will come down rapidly with a little bit of age and a couple of years no claims. I would say wait a year or two and then buy and it will save you thousands of pounds. I know its tough to wait though.

Its quite ironic that this has appeared today as I have changed mine today. Mine is a DSG and it was so easy. I am completely non mechnically minded but following the guide on the FAQ thread it was so easy. I got the parts from VAGparts. It cost me £80.

Its £50 from Seat but Seremotors can do it cheaper. It is 6 pieces of trim which stick over what is there. If you are buying new from Seat then I would get them to fit it for you for free.
