Yeh they're painted mate. It's a one off colour the body shop mixed up for me. IIRC, it's jet black with something else thrown in there to lighten them up a bit.
Not updated this in a long time but the car now has THS top engine mounts and EBC Ultimax discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads on the front.
And, regrettably, it might soon also be sporting a FOR SALE sign!! :-(
I've got the same setup as you, plus strut braces, and I have the arb on the stiffest setting. I've never tried the other settings as I'm happy with it how it is.
Mine was the switch in the mechanical part of the module and it was badly worn down. I wouldn't have been following that guide in the link and I'm happy now i know I have a complete new unit in there.
Also forgot to say, the car also used to lock itself after unlocking if you didn't put keys...
Is anybody still using the standard LCR clutch while running stage 2?
Also, what options are there for an uprated clutch? I know about the sachs one but I was after something a bit cheaper if possible. Hence why I was wondering if I would be ok with another oem clutch.
Mine was doing this. Then a long time later, the beep when lights left on didn't work when the door was opened, then at the same time, the interior light stopped coming on when door was open.
All other doors functioned properly.
The problem was a worn micro switch in the drivers door module...
