  1. emissions light

Does your diagnostic tool not also give a fault code, to give you some idea of why the light is coming on?
  2. Air con problem

The fact that the blower isn't coming on doesn't suggest a re-gassing requirement to me. The gas cools the air, so loss of gas wouldn't stop the blower, it would just mean that it would blow air at ambient temperature (i.e., not cooled). No blower suggests to me either an electrical or...
  3. Seat Watford

    Thanks
  4. DPF light

Isn't DPF removal an MOT failure these days? I'm having trouble with my DPF. It now won't regenerate at all, so I'm looking at some kind of deep cleaning process (which involves taking the DPF off to do it) or a new DPF (but it's silly money to have this done). As a cheaper alternative that...
  5. Freetrack body mouldings?

The bits that go round the wheel arches, yes. Obviously the bumpers themselves are a different matter!
  6. Engine cover rubber mounts? Freetrack

  7. VW Emissions cheat software

Thanks. I had a quick look to see if there was a prior post on the subject but obviously didn't spot it!
  8. VW Emissions cheat software

Has anyone heard if SEAT cars were also fitted with the emissions cheating software? With news in the last few days that other cars in the VW Audi group (such as Skoda and Audi vehicles) have been fitted with it what are the chances that SEAT cars wouldn't also have been?
  9. Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Sorry Pedro, I see what you're saying now. Are you sure the ping is related to the tyre pressure? It's just that lots of the lights momentarily light up and then go out when the engine is started. My car pings on start up when the outside temperature is -4 or lower, as MrDurst has referred to.
  10. Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Correcting the tyre pressure doesn't in itself stop the tyre warning indicator light from coming on. You also have to hold down the tyre pressure button (usually in the middle console) until the light goes off.
  11. Found strange part under the hood

'heated front window'??? I don't think the front windscreen has a heating element?
  12. low mpg .....is it normal?

Is there a downside to removing this grill thing? It must be there for some reason, mustn't it????
  13. tyre pressure light on after stalling

Have you checked that one of the tyres hasn't actually lost air?
  14. low mpg .....is it normal?

Presumably it's the PD engine, not the Common Rail? If so, the 2.0 litre TDI is considerably less frugal than the 1.9 litre TDI. I've owned my Freetrack from new, and don't think I've ever got more than 40mpg out of it. Admittedly it's a bit heavier than the standard Altea, but as diesel...
  15. New to the forum and a fault

No, the button for tyre pressure is on the central console (where the cigarette lighter is).
  16. injector cleaner worth it ?

I use Millers when filling up with regular diesel. It's good stuff. It makes the engine quieter and smoother and it certainly seems more responsive. Trouble is it stinks a fair bit! I also find that Shell's V-Power diesel achieves the same benefits without having to add Millers, although it's...
  17. 2.0 TDI Glow Plug change

If it's poor starting only in very cold weather I'd be inclined to check the battery first before going anywhere near the glow plugs.
  18. freetrack tyre pressures?

Yep, it's 32 all round under normal load. 36 front and 44 back under maximum load.
  19. freetrack tyre pressures?

I'm pretty sure it's 32 all round under normal loading, but I'll check the fuel flap tomorrow and let you know if not.
  20. Tyre Pressure Indicator Light

On the Freetrack it's on the central console between the driver and front passenger seats.
