Thanks, will have to hunt round for someone local.
My mate has a little handheld code reader which can reset codes such as airbag light and service indicator. It picks this code up but suspect this is a little more specialist.
Can anyone recomend anyone near Durham/Darlington?
Bit of a strange one... I recently had to replace the track rod ends and tie rods to cure the annoying rattle I had.
Before the tracking was done, the only way to drive without the ESP kicking in was to turn it off.
It was only like this for a couple of days before having the tracking...
I have problems with the drivers side front and rear lights not working when on the side light position.
I was about to change both bulbs but noticed they work fine when using the parking lights (using the indicator stalk)
I have checked and identified the 2 5amp fuses which serve each...
If you use the diagram on this page as a guide

I had to trim it slightly so it would fit without catching the arch liner and so it didnt sit touchin the intercooler.
Still working fine... the only i've noticed that I hadn't before the fans broke is that if your car is still really warm when you goto start the engine again you get the fans on full speed for 5 seconds before they go back to the slow speed.
it's not a problem, just can't say i'd ever noticed...
aDyno isn't really that accurate... wonder if theres a way of calculating BHP and Torque figures using this Torque program by tapping into the live ecu data - would be a nice addition
Not sure if anyone has seen it.... it's called Torque.
Stumbled across it in the market a couple of days ago, downloaded the free version and used a mates bluetooth obd kit. Seems to work pretty well.
Maybe a cheaper alternative to Liquid TT????
Anyway, heres a link to the guys website...
Both fans should spin as soon as you stick the air con on.... if they dont then there is a possibility the resistor has burnt out which enables this slow speed.
They also come on slow speed with the aircon off, but when the engine gets upto 90(ish) degrees. They should provide sufficient...
Mine was doing exactly the same but it was the slow fan speed on the radiator.
Stick your aircon on and check that both the fans are spinning to cool the radiator down.
spot on.... thats the guide I used. Got the parts from RS (don't forget heatsink compound)
It takes a while to do because you have to drop the the engine cover off underneath and also the passenger wheel arch liner - thats where I mounted it.
The pic isnt the best but you can get the idea...
Well i've fitted one resistor, collect the other tomorrow.
I've ended up fitting it just about the intercooler on the passenger side (behind the arch liner)
Will get some piccys tomorrow
really need to get it sorted quick, the temp doesn't go over 90 at all but its getting a pain not having aircon now the nice weather is starting to show up.
I didn;t realise how much I rely on the aircon... it stops my son twisting on hot days and my partner is expecting our 2nd child in a...
