As per the title really...had the message on the dashboard saying change keyfob battery..the keyfob hadn't actually ceased working but decided to change the CR2025 battery inside anyway.

Recently changed from a MK2 FR 211 manual to a MK3 1.8 FR (65 plate) with a DSG gearbox mainly because my 20 miles daily commute involved a lot of stop starts and the manual was getting a little tiresome.
Love the new car...definite upgrade in...
Hi...am I right in assuming the one quick press on the keyfob will open it as it does now and only a sustained hold will propel it skywards...only asking as I have quite a low garage and well you can guess the rest.
My commute is around 5 miles in heavy traffic each way so this may explain the low miles. But I'm now finding myself looking at the fuel gauge move south even under very sedate driving!
Plus I have now just had the yellow engine light pop up on the dash!!
Can I still drive the car without...

Ok looked at the setup on the radio and there isn't a climate option....just settings for aux, gala and illumination etc.
I swear I had the climate on the radio for the first few days...how is this possible....?.....
Also my fuel economy is terrible... Admittedly short...

Just changed from a mk1 150 tdi fr to a mk2 candy white fr 211 petrol, still getting used to the drive as I think I'm more used to driving a diesel with the torque on tap. Also the petrol gauge moving so quickly is a tad worrying !!!
Anyway my query is when I first picked the car up...
Thanks for the reply - I can see what you are saying - its does have a few more toys and its more to do with it being a newer shape to be honest :) but as you say will it worth the extra outlay?!?
