It's a Leon Cupra R splitter bought directly from the dealer. At the time it was £25 or so, however I believe it may have gone up since.
It's Part Number: 1ML805903
The MX5 came already modded with lower suspension, roll bar, debadged front end and new exhaust system.
Since I've had it I have:
- Swapped the wheel to a small black momo
- New black gear gaitor
- New handbrake cover
- New headunit
- Personalised plate
- Detango'd the front lights
- Installed...
Today I had someone view the car and put down an offer straight away!
A deposit has been taken and the car will be picked up next week. I'll be sad to see it go, but it's going to a good family.
Only a few little bits have been changed.
-Swapped the standard wooden wheel for a smaller leather Momo wheel
-Installed front grille
-New centre caps
-Removed chrome door edge strips
-Put private plates on
-Siliconed/greased the electric window runners as they were slow

Apply the handbrake, grip a front tyre at the quarter to three position and try to rotate the wheel backwards and forwards. If there is excessive movement, they're worn.

I am on standard 1.2 suspension.
Use this tool to check out how much your speedo will be at different speeds. http://www.alloywheels.com/Tyre_Calculator
To be fair, it'd only be a 2.72% difference in the speedo reading with 225 (eg: shows 70mph when doing 72mph) so it shouldn't matter too...
I had 225/45/17 from the previous owner and they scrubbed like hell. Why would you want anything other than 205/40/17? A more comfortable ride? You'll end up with an inaccurate speedo..
