If its the eBay one check where the pipe meets the standard pipe work. Had a lot of trouble with this one on mine

As for the smoke from the stalk. I had the same the contacts go in the wiper stalk not an uncommon fault. Ring up Dave at sere motors a new one cost £50 for the slip ring and both stalks

As per Tom. Find a crashed one. Brakes are often over looked but very important! I ran brembo's on my Cupra. One of the best mods I did.

I bought a brembo set up s/h to fit my mk3 at the time. They came off a mk3 but the hoses I got were a different thread and too short. But I'm sure they had a 90deg fitting. Went to bill in the end and he sent the right ones no problem.

Depends on what you intend to use the car for. I had kw var2 and they were amazing. But not cheap. Weitec coilovers are a good price comfy kit.

You don't have to put it in as a mk4 golf. Just plug it in go to airbags there is a list somewhere of which one is which. Then you just set the value to 0 save and it's off. Did this on mine as I had buckets and harnesses. Was only left with the passenger Front airbag lol

I had the same when my starter motor was sticking. Quick test try hitting the starter motor whilst you turn the key.

Yea as above it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. But they are going for very little money. Big shame as they fall into the wrong hands then. I got 3600 for mine about 2 months ago. But I was lucky I found someone willing to pay that.
