Think you are missing the point, it was NOT rejected on a hard ride. It was rejected on numerous rattles, loose trim, faulty i-pod dock to name a few. The ride never came into question. Any dealer worth there salt would not have accpected a car back on ride alone. Especially as you say i tested...

How do you come to that conclusion. I sold the S3 to get the Leon and put nearly £10k back in to my bank account. The Leon was much better in other ways than the S3 mainly fuel consumption and looks but cleary not in the build department.

Not rejecting it on harsh ride, its rejected on the rattles and the falling trim (around the sunroof) I only said it is a "firm ride" I'm not complaining of that, just that there are better handling "sports" derived hot hatches with a more compliant ride.

Had an S3 (new shape) previously and that was a lot better ride, much more compliant and i would think it shares suspension with the Cupra, ie lighter alloy components etc!

its a sunlight sensor, one on the dash top as well. I think!

That noise drives you mad as well, not only do you get "please fasten your seatbel" the flashing red symbol and the loud bleep when you do actually drive off. However should you not be able to see because you have ran out of water i'd be glad at least i had my seatbelt on! :whistle:

Do have the winter pack on mine! But was driving a loan car from the dealer Black FR for the week as they are trying to sort the annoying rattles out. Told them i don't want it back if it still rattles which worried them somewhat.

mine are a perfect match. I suppose its down to the quality of the bodyshop they use.

Really annoying the 10K fixed, on an old A3 170 you could do about 20k for visiting the stealers. And as Seat stealers are so crap id rather stay away as long as possible. Same engines so why a fix of 10k?

My S3 never had a single rattle. The FR however has several and its now at the stealers, so expect about another 5 or so when i get it back.
