Yes I have mate. It's to do with the plastic cover that. The bump stop attaches to. When the car is down on the floor the plastic cover catches on the shock and makes a horrible squeaking noise. I changed everything in vain to find it. All I did was put some grease behind the plastic bump stop...
Rich, did you have a guide when you fitted your honeycomb grills, or is it pretty self explanatory. Have I got to cut the old ones off and slot the new ones in, or is there more to it?
Tom I completely understand where your coming from, but give it serious thought Before you sell it!
I have recently bought a house and generally lost interest in the car scene. The poor Leon hasn't had hardly any kind of care given to it in months as house stuff and other priorities take...

Check the earth connections mate. Check where the earths bolt onto the body/gearbox. Also make sure the fuses on top of the battery are ok and don't have hairline cracks or anything
Rich that's the n249. Take the vac straight from the manifold to the dump valve, and then remove all that piping and the black box. Then leave the grey solenoid plugged in and cable tie it under the bracket of the charge pipe. It then hides it and makes it much tidier. As long as the box is...
Exactly this.
I don't think I've seen a plastic impeller one fail since they have been modified, however have seen a case of a metal one giving up but not causing as much damage as above.
My own car is due a new belt the end of this year and I'm currently running a metal impeller but will be...
Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like your anti roll bar is fitted the wrong way? I thought it went over the shaft rather than under it? .i think that is the reason you are having all your problems and it can be fitted the wrong way and does hit the wishbones if fitted the wrong way.
Check he lower arm rear bushes, had a similar issue and felt I was always fighting the steering as it was so light it went where it wanted. Eventually got my arse into gear and checked it over any found the bushes in a terrible state. Replaced them on Saturday with TT ones and it like a...
I matched you when I was mapped ;-) although my torque was lower lol. Don't think I'm gonna run this time, just going to come down and enjoy the day. Will see nearer the time
Looking good Rich, I wish I had the determination to sit out there all day like you do, cleaning mine at the mo is a big task lol.
The exhaust is a bit of a pain to fit if your not lowering the subframe ,you will have to cut the down pipe off.
We will have to arrange a little convoy to the AmD...
That is a classic case of the seal either failing or being pinched when refitting, or they have over tightened the lid. filters only need to be tightened to 25 nm. it even says that on the housing lid! All genuine vag filters come complete with new seals too.
This is incompetence on whoever...
