Thanks for the advise and the replys guys, to be fair I thought it was reasonable, expensive but fair.
Car is back on the road and runs lovely, I'm doing 70 mile round trips this week so I'm glad it's working.
I'll have to do some overtime to cover the cost tho but it's worth it.
I think I'll...
Just an update on this, got the car back.
Lobe 1 was partially worn and 4 was shot completely all in all it was £760 in total for camshaft kit, timing kit, oil filter and oil change.
Car runs better obviously but I need to test it on a long run.
Is £760 reasonable for all the above?

I think repairing is a bit out of my skill set, I took it to a VAG specialist to get a quote.
He pointed out that the timing belt might need doing.
It's 4 years old so I might as well do it while at it..
I have a feeling it's gonna be rather expensive... I'm even debating if to sell it as it...

I got mine done few weeks ago, I bought Sportex exhaust with oval tip for my TDi FR+. The factory twin tip exhaust was enormous like twice the size of this. There isn't even much of a sound difference.

Sourced out a new pancake pipe for my ARL as the old one was suffering from the typical broken lip.
Replaced O rings and reinforced with 2 layers of heatshrink. Nice and tight now, no boost loss, but still not running 100% maybe I need to carbon clean the turbo

Just to add, lowering springs means lowering from standard height.
The springs I got were from some1 who was going to fit them in his seat to lower it.
But it turned out that he had the same make already fitted.
From the pictures he uploaded the car was looking at standard FR height.
That is...
