Hi All
Got a little issue with my missus car, drove fine until Thursday when was used for latst time until today...
Car won't start with key turned over no noise from starter motor nothing, thought battery may be an issue but this reads 12.6v and I would assume car would be trying to turn over...
I sold mine 3 weeks ago 2014 with 65k miles on clock red with dsg and full service history for £11.5...I was battling with myself about selling or not like you, in the end decided after 4 years it's time for a change even there was nothing wrong with the car and it really served me well over 4...
I would get second opinion from independent garage... £2500 seems a lot for Is38 turbo anyway.
After diagnosing did they say what is wrong with it apart from it needs new turbo?

Half of mentioned services are not expected tbh
Brakes rear needing replacement at 25k miles joke would probably last easily another 25k without even being mentioned on MOT.
Air con regassing is probably around £50 from air con specialist.
Brake fluid just do the moisture test to check if...
Not really as without changing front to back you end up with back tyres that may not be worn but aged...
Ideally you do not want tyres that are more than 4-5 years old on performance car

Only on permanent 4wd you should replace all 4 tyres at the same time to avoid rolling difference between wheels...
Next time round just swap front with back to keep even wear on all 4 tyres.

I've changed 100s of discs and never checked disc runout... Not even mentioning iam yet to see garage checking this.

Kwik Fit mentioned mine brakes need doing two years ago 16k miles later (a week) ago passed MOT for a second time (with no advisory) since Kwik Fit mentioned my brakes need doing...

Most of good alloy refurbishment garages can offer diamond cut refurb, just cost a bit more round WM £380 for set of 19inch for diamond cut refurb and about £270 for powder coat.

I have seen your car around few times in the past as my office up the road from you on Mucklow Hill.
Shame about the car hope thieves get what they deserve...
Strong handles, Ts007 3 star locks, not UPVC doors and door/window contact alarm are must those days.

I would change the castrol to fully synthetic oil not something that is called synthetic just because rules allow this...
Just double check what approval do you need I would go for either Millers or Motul both brands got very good reviews you can find plenty of used oil tests that would provide...
Seems not too great dealto be honest 3 years of servicing so two minor and one major service with haldex probably once in that time not sure on AirCon presumably 3 services included in this price (without top up)
