    Wheel spacers

DPM seem pretty decent price and as far as i am aware the fk ones come with everything you need. http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/leon-1m-99-05-wheel-spacers-c-1932_1937_2937.html?zenid=d20193a324e10296be9bbf4c37da4869

Tyre thread - Which do you recommend?

P6000s are pish especially in the wet, how they demand such a price i will never know. Thankfully i've never paid money for them but they were rubbish on the impreza and even struggle put traction down in a 2ltr mondeo. Im a fan of kumho for bang for buck, have run the spt ku 31 on impreza...

    Anyone selling up elsewhere?

Going to be home again on the 21st and looking for a Cupra r 225 and was just wondering if anyone had theirs up on pistonheads or autotrader? Instead of asking about each one to see if anyone on here owns it i thought i would go the other way around... These 2 have a few things done to...

LEON FR TDI or Petrol Mk1

I would say get the petrol, the only reason i got a diesel is because i was doing 70 miles a day to and from work. As quick and torque'y as the diesel is even with a straight through exhaust it just isnt as fun as a petrol, smaller rev range and no reel exhaust noise. You can get some total...

    fair thee well

I am a bit lost really...my mate has a C30 and i couldnt think of another hatch back car with less room inside for the overall size of car. They basically dont have a boot and the tiny boot that is there is a bitch to get stuff in and out of cause of the shape of it....and then there is an...

    Plastic tray thing

From not having the undertray on there is not a chance in hell you would notice a decrease in fuel consumption in day to day driving, certainly not in tdi. The tdi has a huge undertray which is mainly for sound deadening, the LCR one has some ducting to direct air flow to aid cooling in the...

Help: Do you know anything about this car?

Yeah i would say that is a good buy if every stacks up to what he says. Last year I paid 5k for my car and anything else around was nearer 6k, the fr+ were nearer 7 - 7.5k. It's nuts how much prices have dropped! Really really wish i was buying right now instead of trying to sell, some LCR's...

Help: Do you know anything about this car?

None of the above helps if the car has never been serviced before or serviced using the wrong oil, the pd engines need 505.01 oil or they are more than likely to eat their camshafts. Even with proper servicing on the correct oil they can still eat the camshaft. Mine ate it at 96k and cost me...

Has anyone failed their MOT on HID's yet?

At the moment your lights are only tested on beam pattern so aftermarket hid kits can pass if the beam is ok, they are changing so in the mot to pass with hids the car must have headlight washers and auto leveling, it will be obvious if these are not there so it will be very easy for the mot...

    Cupra R vs. FR+ TDI

I think this is right: Diesel Cupra looks like Petrol Cupra Diesel Fr looks like Petrol Cupra with different alloys Diesel Fr+ looks like Petrol Cupra R with 17" wheels instead of 18", and interior is as per Cupra not Cupra R. And i know all diesel cupra, Fr and Fr+ are the same...

Do people still buy the 225bhp Cupra R's?

I cant believe how little you are aksing and this hasn't shifted! The price of LCR's these days would make me say stuff it and spend the extra 800 odd pounds a year in fuel over the cupra diesel. Having said that i can't shift that either at the moment. I dont think i am asking too much (£4500...

what have you done to your car today ?

Gave the nice lady at the garage reception the pleasure of removing nearly £600 from my account so the car could get a new camshaft. To say i am less than impressed is an understatement! Though it is nice to have a working car again.....for now!

Failed MOT need a little advice

Reverse lights are NOT checked for your MOT, but your rear number plate bulbs are and if you have 2 and 1 is out it is a fail. Played in my favour on my old mondeo when the reverse lights would only come on 2 times out of 10 when selecting reverse. How they deem number plate bulbs more...

    De-cat diesel?

The turbo itself will create enough back pressure, so no worry there. Depending on where you get your MOT done not having a CAT looking object in place might cause a fail though.

Tuning my Cupra TDI (PD150) - Remap, EGR, DPF and Mufflerectomy

In one word, no. The cat is not at the back box, the back box is only a silencer, the cat on these cars is under the front seats in the exhaust. Standard exhaust has a cat, then straight through center pipe then a back box. If you have removed your back box then its the Mufflerectomy part...

    Category D

The resale will be lower but he should have bought it for less in the first place so its is all relative.

    Category D

I would say it totally depends on each car you look at with a cat D on it. My mate owns a cat D registered hawk eye sti impreza, apart from being 4k cheaper you could not tell that anything had happened, the car had had a new front bumper, front wing and front door to repair it. There was...
