When VAG did the conversion from left to right hand drive, they couldn't align the clutch master cylinder directly behind the pedal. So the pedal has a metal tab sticking out the side which pushes the master cylinder rod.
With some people, the tab snaps off, meaning you just have to replace...
Yes it is quite common.
It's actually the master cylinder that has gone, which cause the piece of metal on the pedal to snap off and smash the black plastic stop.
You are looking at £75 worth of parts, plus three hours labour to change the pedal and master cylinder.

Have you tried resetting the mirrors?
Ignition off, drivers door open.
Switch to open.
Open mirrors by hand - they will be quite stiff.
Close the door, and turn the ignition on.
Wait 30 seconds.
Switch to folded. Mirrors should close and make nasty crunching noises.
Wait 30 seconds...
Yup. F1s do that. They are a very soft rubber compound with a high rolling resistance. Which is why they have tons of grip.
I have posted about this before - you lose about 10% mpg with F1s.
Your other problems sound like they haven't balanced the tyres.

You are going to have to give a clue which car you have.
There are four separate fuses for left/right high/dipped beams. But it sounds most like either the headlight switch or the indicator stalk.
Simon.
Well the Michellin website recommends Primacy.
Another option is Goodyear Excellence - less soft than Eagle F1, but nearly the same grip. Much better in the cold as well.

I'd start with replacing the hazard switch/relay assembly. They are all off the same fuse, so if one works but the other doesn't then it sounds like the relay. If that doesn't work then try replacing the column stalk.

Plugs are quite common - the number of cars that mysteriously get better after the 40k service is remarkable.
It can also be a bad batch of fuel. If you have been using 98+ octane fuel for a while, it will run like a dog on 95. This seems to occasionally occur when the petrol station puts the...
You need to keep the key in the ignition all the while. If you turn the radio off by removing the key, you have to start all over again.
So take a cup of tea out there, and a good book, and have a nice listen to the radio for a few hours.

I'm going to ask a daft question, but has anyone tried the 19" CURVED blade (VM23), since that is what SEAT fitted to the car in the first place?
The Bosch 21/19AS pack of conventional blades, with the curved passenger side one, fits perfectly.
Simon.
You can fit LED stop lights and tail lights no problem - just make sure get the right variant.
Where it goes wrong is LED indicators. The indicator relay relies on the bulb to flash at the right speed. If an indicator bulb is missing / broken, then the indicators flash at double speed. If you...
Sadly this won't work. The Leon Mk1 is one of the last VAG cars to have a mechanical relay (it's inside the hazard switch if you ever need it). The new cars (including the Passat and Ibiza) uses the ECU to flash the indicators, and so can do the three flash thing.
Sorry.
